Many of the non-denominational churches talk about the power of Pleading the Blood of Jesus – but they do not tell you exactly how to do it, what to plead it on, what to plead it against, and how frequently you need to do it in order to get God’s maximum protection on you and your loved ones.
In this article, I will show you exactly how to plead the Blood, what to plead it on, some of things that you can plead it against, and how frequently you will need to plead it in order to get God’s maximum protection on you and your specific set of circumstances.
I will also give you the Scriptural grounds that entitles all Christians to be able to use this form of offensive prayer.
I will also show you how to incorporate the Pleading of the Blood in your own personal battle prayers, which is when you will need God’s deliverance and/or healing power to come into any type of adverse situation that you may have just fallen into.
I will back all of this up with some very powerful testimonies involving myself and some of my personal friends, and how Pleading the Blood of Jesus helped rescue and deliver them out of some real dire predicaments. All of these stories will be in the “Testimonies” section of our website. The information in this article has been battle tested and battle proven.
This form of offensive prayer can not only be used to get God’s protection on you before any type of adversity ever strikes you, but it can also be used for physical, emotional, and mental healings, for battling demons, and for battling any kind of storm cloud that may have just come your way.
I believe that we are truly heading into end time waters as prophesied in the Bible. Learning how to properly Plead the Blood of Jesus for deliverance and protection is going to be needed by all Christians in order to help keep them out of harms way as things really start to heat up in the years ahead.
Too many Christians are getting robbed, abducted, murdered, emotionally and/or physically abused, slandered, cheated, scammed, etc. All you have to do is watch the daily news and it is one horror story after another.
I believe the number one reason why so many Christians are coming under such heavy attacks from both demons and evil people in this world is because they do not have God’s full protection on them.
And the reason they do not have God’s full protection on them is because they have never been taught how to spiritually defend themselves using actual spiritual warfare techniques!
There are numerous verses in the Bible telling all of us that we are to be good soldiers of Jesus Christ and that we have to fight the good fight of faith.
Like it or not, we are all living in a war zone as a result of the Adamic curse that is still in full operation on this earth.
We are living in a fallen, imperfect, and cursed world that is subject to death, corruption, demonic spirits, and evil humans who have chosen with their own free wills to live this life on the dark side.
What this means is that anyone of us at anytime can come under direct human or demonic attack. Places where we thought we were safe are no longer safe. Criminals are getting more brazen and more evil. Children are literally getting abducted right out of their beds in the middle of the night with their parents and the other children in the house sleeping in the other rooms.
9/11 has forever changed our landscape as far as all Americans are concerned. Radical terrorists have now officially invaded our country and we will never know when or where the next attack will occur. The Bible has already warned us that evil, lawlessness, and immorality will abound in the end times.
There are verses telling us that in the end times men will become lovers of self, unholy, blasphemers, having no self-control and only living life for what they can get out of it.
The Bible tells us that the love of many will grow cold during these times, and many people will only be out for themselves and for whatever pleasures they can get out of this life while they still can.
As a result of this kind of deterioration in man’s moral state, many people will become more impulsive, brazen, and evil. This may help explain why some of these evil people are literally kidnapping children right out of their beds or front yards while the parents or babysitters are still in the home.
They are losing all self-control over their evil sick desires and impulses, and they are acting out on them without any thought of the consequences of their actions.
Since I really do feel that we have officially entered into end time waters as prophesied in the Bible, each Christian is going to have to make a big personal decision as to how they are going to live the rest of what time they still have left down here on this earth.
Christians can either choose to remain passive with their heads stuck in the sand, hoping that neither they nor any of their close loved ones will ever come under any kind of direct human or demonic attack – or they can choose to learn how to rise up in the power of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and learn how to spiritually defend themselves using spiritual warfare techniques as given to us out of the Bible!
When the enemy does come, and he will come at each one of us from time to time, you can either choose to run and hide hoping that you will somehow survive the attack and make it out in one piece – or you can choose to learn how to spiritually defend yourself and engage with the enemy head on like David did with Goliath.
The choice is yours. Too many Christians are taking the first approach, and they are literally getting killed and taken out of this life way too early.
The pain, torment, and agony of losing loves ones, especially to any kind of violent crime, is beyond human comprehension.
Too many Christians are living defeated lives with no real joy, peace, or power in their lives. Storm cloud after storm cloud keeps coming after them beating them down to a pulp.
Many Christians, since they have not been properly taught how to engage with the enemy when he does come their way, are drowning in their sea of troubles.
Too many Christians could not pray their way out of a paper sack if they ever got caught in one because they have never established any kind of personal relationship with the Lord, have never developed any real working knowledge from His Word, have no real knowledge of the enemy, his tactics, and how he operates – and have no real knowledge on how to properly pray or stand in the gap for someone else to get God to move in with His supernatural power to bring freedom, healing, or deliverance to a particular situation.
In my opinion, and from the personal experiences that I have had with this form of offensive prayer, I believe that learning how to Plead the Blood of Jesus may be one of the greatest, offensive, spiritual weapons that you can have in your arsenal.
As you will see in the personal testimony section of our site, complete and total victory was granted to each person who had Pleaded the Blood of Jesus on their specific set of circumstances. And in most of the cases, the victory was granted very quickly!
This is how powerful this form of offensive prayer really is.
For those of you who really want to learn how to arm and defend both yourself and your close loved ones when these attacks do come your way, read on. For those of you who will choose to remain passive hoping that nothing bad will ever come your way, at least keep this article on the shelf in the event that any serious adversity ever does strike you or any of your close loved ones down the road.
Before I go into exactly how to Plead the Blood of Jesus and all of the different things that you can Plead the blood against, I will first give you the Scriptural grounds that entitles all Christians to be able to use this form of offensive prayer.
Scriptural Grounds for Pleading the Blood of Jesus
There are many Christians who attack this form of prayer. They ask where in Scripture is there proof that we can use this kind of prayer for either protection or deliverance when we will really need it. There was no evidence that the early apostles ever pled the blood to heal, to cast out demons, or to get God’s basic protection on them.
I believe there are three specific things contained in the Blood of Jesus – forgiveness, deliverance, and protection. Many Christians only know about the first one – forgiveness. They have no idea there are two other things available to them that will enable them to live a victorious and overcoming life in the Lord while still living down here on this earth. Here is a brief discussion on each one of these three things.
1. Forgiveness
As Christians, we all know there is definitely forgiveness in the Blood of Jesus. This is the basic central message of true Christianity – that God the Father sent His one and only begotten Son Jesus Christ down to our earth in the flesh to physically die on a cross in order to save us and give us total and permanent forgiveness for all of our sins.
Without Jesus dying and shedding His blood on the cross, there would be no forgiveness and remission of any of our sins. Here are some extremely powerful verses from Scripture specifically telling us this:
- “For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” (Matthew 26:28)
- “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)
- “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been made near by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13)
- “For the life of the flesh is in the blood … for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.” (Leviticus 17:11)
Notice the emphasis on the word “blood” in these verses. There is no question that in these verses, and others in the Bible, that the blood that Jesus personally shed for us on the cross is what leads all of us to be able to receive eternal salvation, the forgiveness of all of our sins, and entrance into heaven when we die and cross over.
2. Deliverance
Now what are the Scriptural grounds that will give us the legal right to be able to use the blood of Jesus when taking on any attacks that may come our way? As you will see in some of the stories in the Testimonies section of our site, you can Plead the Blood of Jesus against specific types of attacks such as attacks from demons or other evil people, any kind of physical illness or disease, or any kinds of addictions like drugs and alcohol.
Many Christians are not aware of this second component that is in the Blood of Jesus which will entitle us to be able to use His Blood to go on the offensive against any adversity that may come our way.
Something else happened that day when Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins. The Bible tells us that Jesus also defeated Satan and all of the powers of darkness that day! Here are several good verses from Scripture proving this point to you:
- “… that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Hebrews 2:14)
- “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13)
- “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” (Colossians 2:15)
- “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)
- “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” (Revelation 12:11)
What defeated Satan and all his dark powers? The physical death of Jesus on the cross. And what did Jesus do when He died that day on the cross for all of us? He shed His Blood!
This is why Pleading the Blood of Jesus works so well in real life combat situations when it really is needed to defeat attacks that are coming against us from the dark side.
Many Christians are not fully aware of this second fact about the Blood of Jesus – that the Blood of Jesus can also be used to engage with our enemies when they do try to launch any kind of an attack against us. I believe that all of the above Scripture verses definitely tell us that the blood that Jesus shed that day on the cross has totally defeated Satan and all of his dark powers.
The only thing left is for all Christians to fully realize this incredible fact, and to grab a hold of this powerful truth and not to be afraid to use when they need it – especially when demons or other evil people are attempting to come against them with any type of unjust action or attack.
Here are four more good powerful verses from Scripture showing that all Christians now have God’s supernatural power and anointing available to them so they can use it to engage with the dark side of this life:
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)
Notice in this verse we have God’s power over all the power of our enemies, not just against some or part of their powers. This means we have the ability to come out completely victorious in some of life’s battles and struggles, but only if we learn how to properly use what is now available to us.
“Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:1)
Notice in this verse that Jesus gives the twelve apostles power over all demons, not just some of them. If we have God’s power available to us to defeat all demons, then I believe that we also have God’s power to defeat any and all humans who may try to come against us with any type of unjust action or attack.
“… but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” (Daniel 11:32)
“Knowing their God” means that we have spent good quality time in establishing a good personal relationship with the Lord. If we do this, then this verse is telling us that God will strengthen and empower us when we need His power to be able to carry out great exploits and great adventures for Him.
“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.” (2 Chronicles 16:9)
This verse is telling us that God is actually looking for people that He can anoint with His power and show Himself strong through, but the implication appears to be that He really cannot find many people who are willing to pay the price to be able to really walk with His anointing.
As you can see from the way all of the above Scripture verses are worded – true Christianity is not a weak, wimpy, or passive religion. As born-again believers, we all have the Holy Spirit literally living on the inside of us.
As a result, our bodies have now become the actual temple of the Holy Spirit. His supernatural power is now fully available to all of us in order to help us handle some of the storm clouds that can come against us in this life.
Learning how to properly Plead the Blood of Jesus for any deliverance and protection that you may need is just one part of our arsenal. I will be doing other articles in the near future covering some of the other aspects on this part of our walk with the Lord.
3. Protection
As you will see in the next section, you can also Plead the Blood of Jesus on specific things that you will want protected before any kind of adversity could strike them – like your body, house, car, and finances. The goal is to Plead the Blood of Jesus on those things in order to protect you before any kind of adversity could ever come your way.
If the above verses are showing us that we can Plead the Blood of Jesus against any attacks that may have already come our way, then I believe it only stands to reason that we can also go one step further with the Blood of Jesus – and that is to use it for protection before any kind of attack could actually come our way.
In this case, you simply Plead the Blood of Jesus on whatever you want God’s full protection on before any attacks could possibly come your way.
I believe there is something else in the Bible that gives us another clue that entitles us to be able to Plead the Blood for this specific purpose.
In the Old Testament, God the Father had it arranged with His chosen people, the Jews, that in order for them to be able to enter into a covenant relationship with Him, they had to have some kind of temporary covering for their sins. Jesus had not come yet, so there was no full remission for any of the sins that had occurred back at that time
What God the Father had set up was the sacrifice of blemish-free animals such as bulls, goats and lambs. Their blood had to be shed once per year on what was called the Day of Atonement. The shedding of these animals blood was what gave the Jewish people a temporary covering for their sins so they could then enter into a personal relationship with God the Father.
This is why Jesus is called the “Lamb of God.” He is an extension of the lambs used by His Father in the Old Testament to give the Jewish people a temporary covering for their sins. Once Jesus had come to shed His own blood on the cross, there was no more need for any more animal sacrifices. His death on the cross had completed and fulfilled what His Father had started in the Old Testament with the sacrifice of these animals.
Now watch this analogy. In the shedding of the lamb’s blood on the Day of Atonement, there was a temporary covering for the sins of the Jewish people. Then Jesus comes in the New Testament, and the shedding of His blood now gives all believers complete and total forgiveness for all of their sins.
Now here is where I feel that something else occurred back in the Old Testament that may entitle us to be able to use the Blood of Jesus for divine protection. In the story of the Passover, God had sent His servant Moses to rescue the children of Israel from their captivity to the Egyptians. God had thrown ten whopper plagues at the Pharaoh in an effort to try and get him to release His people from his rule.
On one of those plagues, God tells Pharaoh that He is going to allow an angel of death to come through their camp to kill all of their firstborn children. However, before God sets all of this up to occur, He tells His own people to shed the blood of a blemish-free lamb and to put that shed blood on the door posts and lintels of their houses.
God tells His people that the angel of death will bypass their house if he sees this shed blood put on their door posts and lintels.
This angel of death will thus not kill any of the Israelite’s firstborn – but only if he sees the blood properly applied to the door posts and lintels of their houses.
In other words, the blood of this blemish-free lamb was being used for divine protection before this attack would ever come their way. Had each person not properly applied this blood on their door posts, their firstborn children would have also been killed, along with the rest of the firstborn children of the Egyptians.
Here is my argument on this:
If the shed blood of the Old Testament lambs used for the temporary covering of sins eventually leads to the shedding of Jesus’ blood for permanent and total forgiveness of all of our sins – can we also use that same analogy and say that the shed blood of the lambs used in the Passover for divine protection could also lead to the shed Blood of Jesus having divine protection in it?
I personally believe the answer is yes, and that is why God the Father seems willing to work with any believer who will plead the blood of Jesus on whatever they want protection on before any attack can come their way – just like He did in the story of the Passover with His own chosen people.
Before I go into the specifics on how to Plead the Blood of Jesus for deliverance and protection, there is one more area that each Christian must make a big personal decision on before God will give you this kind of full divine protection.
Saved and Surrendered
In order to be able to Plead the Blood of Jesus for any kind of deliverance or protection you may need, there are two requirements that must be met.
1. Saved
You must be a saved and born-again Christian. A nonbeliever cannot use the blood of Jesus. In the story of the Passover, only God’s chosen people were allowed to apply the blood of the lamb on their door posts to get His full protection on them.
It is the same way in the New Testament. Only born-again, Christian believers can use the blood of Jesus for deliverance and protection.
2. The Full Surrender
However, for those who are already saved and born-again Christians, there is now one more big thing that you will have to do before you can start to get God’s best to start flowing into your life – which will include getting His maximum protection on you and your life. And that is to be willing to make a full and complete surrender of your entire being and your entire life over to God the Father.
You have to be both saved and surrendered in order to be able to step from the dugout out onto the real playing field where the real walk with the Lord is really at. God is wanting you to fully surrender four specific things to Him:
- Your body
- Your soul
- Your spirit
- Your entire life
The Bible tells us that we have three parts to our beings – body, soul and spirit. God wants all three parts of our being completely surrendered over to Him. The fourth thing that God will also want from you is for you to fully surrender your entire life over to Him. And when I say entire life, I mean literally everything in your life.
The Bible tells us that with the measure we use, will be the measure that will be measured back to us. In other words, if you want God’s best to start flowing into your life, then you will have to give God your personal best – and your personal best is being willing to fully surrender every part of your being and every part of your life over to the Lord for His full direction and handling. It’s your all for His all.
This full surrender to the Lord is where many Christians are really missing the boat with Him.
They are saved through the blood of Jesus, but they are not walking in this full surrender with God the Father.
As a result, God is not working full force in their lives. The only way to get God to start working full force in your life is to come under a complete and full surrender with Him.
Bottom line – God’s knowledge and wisdom is perfect on all matters – yours is not! God can see into the future and knows exactly what is going to happen to you – you cannot.
God knows you better than you can ever know yourself, and as a result, He knows what your true potential and capabilities are going to be in this life – you do not.
Your powers are limited, but God’s powers are not. The Bible tells us that God is all-powerful and that there is nothing that He cannot do or accomplish. Nothing is impossible with God.
After chewing on all of the above, who do you want running your life? Yourself, with your limited powers, wisdom, and knowledge – or God the Father, who has maximum power and knowledge to do and accomplish anything He will want to do?
This lack of a full surrender to God the Father is what is getting so many Christians beat to a pulp in the playing field of life.
They do not have God’s full protection on them, and as a result, they are coming under severe attacks from demons, evil people, and just some of the natural cause and effects that can occur at a moment’s notice such as different kinds of accidents, catastrophes, mishaps, and illnesses that can hit anyone of us at anytime.
Without God’s maximum protection, anyone of us can get hit by these types of severe storm clouds. Only God’s divine protection can keep you safe and out of harms way from some of these types of storm clouds.
And the only way to get God’s maximum protection on you and your life is to come under this full and complete surrender with Him.
If you want to take this last and final step with the Lord, then I can give you a very short, but powerful prayer to go to God the Father with to come into this full surrender with Him.
This prayer should be said at least once or twice a year after you do it the first time. You need to show God that you mean serious business with Him on this, and by continuing to recite this prayer back to Him on a once or twice per year basis, you will be showing Him that you are really serious about this full surrender, and that you will continue to let Him have full control of your entire life for the rest of your earthly life.
I will give you both parts of this prayer – the initial prayer that you will go to God the Father with to make the initial full surrender, and then the second part of this prayer that will continue to keep you under this full surrender with the Lord for the rest of your earthly life.
A) The Full Surrender Prayer
“Father,
In the name of Jesus, I now place my body, my soul, my spirit, and my entire life into Your hands. I now ask that You place me into Your perfect will for my life. From this moment on, I will choose to stay fully surrendered to You all the days of my life and will allow You to lead and direct my life in the direction that You will want it to go in.
Thank you Father.
Thank you Jesus.”
B) To Stay in the Full Surrender
“Father,
In the name of Jesus, I continue to place my body, my soul, my spirit, and my entire life in Your hands. I choose to stay fully surrendered to You all the days of my life and ask that you continue to keep me in Your perfect will for my life.
Thank you Father.
Thank you Jesus.”
The above prayer is short, sweet, and simple, but extremely powerful! With this prayer, you have now just turned the reigns of your life over to God the Father – and He will now start to guide and direct your life in the direction that He will want it to go in. God now has a perfect plan and destiny all set up for your life.

If you are willing to make this full surrender with God the Father, then you are now ready for the next big step, and that is to learn how to Plead the Blood of Jesus for His deliverance and protection.
There are two ways that you will use the Pleading of His Blood. One is for protection – where you will Plead the Blood of Jesus on whatever you want protected before any attacks or adversity could come your way. By Pleading the Blood of Jesus on the things that you want specifically protected, you will go a long way in preventing a lot of needless attacks, mishaps, and accidents from ever coming your way in the first place. This is preventative medicine at its best.
The second way that you will use the Pleading of His Blood is for deliverance – where you have already been hit by some kind of adversity, and now you will need God’s deliverance and/or healing power to help set you free.
How to Plead the Blood of Jesus for Protection
The first thing you are going to want to do is make a personal list of everything that you would like to have God’s protection on. These are what I call the basics. I will give you my recommendations as to what some of these basic things should be. You will then have to add your own personal things to this list to properly complete it.
1. The Basics
The basic things that you will want covered under the Blood of Jesus for His divine protection are the following:
- Your body, soul, and spirit
- Your house
- Your car
- Your finances
- Your office – if you work
- Your spouse and children if you are married
Any one of these could come under demonic or human attack at any time. Pleading the Blood of Jesus on your car will help prevent you from getting into any type of serious auto accidents, along with helping to prevent any type of break-ins or theft of your car.
Pleading the Blood of Jesus on your finances will help protect you from all of the scammers and con artists who are out there trying to scam and steal all of your hard earned money. Identity theft has become a major problem in our country. Pleading the blood of Jesus on all of your credit cards and bank accounts will stop thieves dead in their tracks if they try and target you for identity theft.
Pleading the Blood of Jesus on your house and office building will help protect you against any fires, break-ins, burglaries, natural catastrophes, or any type of bad accidents.
Pleading the Blood on all of your children will help protect them from any possible abductions, serious accidents, or life-threatening illnesses. I do not have to tell you how many predators that are out there looking for their next victim. Literally a day does not go by when someone is not getting abducted, robbed or murdered.
Pleading the Blood of Jesus on your own body, soul, and spirit will also help keep you personally protected from all of the above.
I could go on and on with the number of bad things that could happen to either you, your children, or your spouse.
Bottom line – only God knows when any attack will be coming your way, and only God can protect and shield you from these attacks before they do come. And the way that you can get God to move in with His full divine protection before any of these attacks can come your way is by Pleading the Blood of Jesus on each of the specific things that you will want protected.
Here is how to specifically Plead the Blood on each of the above items.
2. Pleading the Blood on the Basics
In order to get God’s full protection on something, you have to do the following three things:
- Plead the Blood on the object that you want protected.
- Plead the Blood against whatever possibly could come against that object.
- Then seal the prayer with a statement of faith and belief to God the Father telling Him that you are now going to have full faith and belief that He will now protect you from all of the things that you just Pled the Blood of His Son on.
Here is a sample prayer on how to Plead the Blood of Jesus on your body, soul, and spirit:
“Father,
Father, in the name of Jesus, I now plead the Blood of Jesus over every inch of my physical body, over every inch my soul, and over ever inch of my spirit. I now plead the Blood of Jesus against any demons who may try and come against me. I now Plead the Blood of Jesus against any bad and evil people who may try and come against me.
I now plead the Blood of Jesus against any natural accidents or catastrophes that may come against me. I now plead the Blood of Jesus against any diseases, viruses, or illnesses that could possibly come against me.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I now have full faith and belief that the Blood of Jesus will now fully protect me against all of the things that I have just Pled His Blood on.
Thank you Father.
Thank you Jesus.”
This prayer is short, sweet, simple and straight to the point. You can add whatever else you want in the prayer that will fit your own personal set of circumstances.
You will have to Plead the Blood of Jesus on each of the above six items to get God’s full protection on it. You have to be very specific on the things that you will want covered and protected under His Blood. This is why each of you will have to make up your own personal list.
The above six items should be absolute minimums. When you Plead the Blood on the other five items, just substitute the appropriate wording on the next item that you are Pleading the Blood on. When Pleading the Blood on the basics, you can choose to either say the prayer out loud or silently to yourself, which ever way you would be more comfortable with.
3. The Index Card
What I have found to be very helpful is to write all of the above down on an index card. Here is my recommendation:
a) Take an index card and write at the top of it the words “Pleading the Blood of Jesus.” This way you know this card is for Pleading the Blood of Jesus.
b) On the front of the card, write down and number each of the items that you want protected under the Blood of Jesus. The six items mentioned above should all be on this list. Then write down anything else that you will want covered and protected under His Blood.
c) Then write on the back of the card the blood prayer itself as worded above. You can use a “fill in the blanks system” on the back of the card since you will be Pleading the Blood on different things. You can write the following on the back of the card:
“Father,
in the name of Jesus, I now plead the Blood of Jesus on …………. I now Plead the Blood of Jesus against …………….
Father, in the name of Jesus, I have full faith and belief that the Blood of Jesus will protect me against any of the things that I have just Pled His Blood on.
Thank you Father.
Thank you Jesus.”
On one little index card, you will have everything you need on how to properly Plead the Blood of Jesus on whatever it is that you want His protection on. You will have all of the basics as to what needs to be covered with the Blood in your life on the front of the card, and then the exact prayer written on the back as to how to properly Plead the Blood on each of those basic things.
4. Frequency
How often will you have to Plead the Blood of Jesus on all of the above in order to get God’s maximum protection on these things? Through personal trial and error with the Lord on all of this, I have found out that in my own personal life, that I have to Plead the Blood of Jesus on all of the above items on a once per month basis.
You may each have to find your own personal frequency factor with the Lord on how often to Plead the Blood on all of the above. But do not be surprised if God does not tell you the same thing – once per month.
I have personally found out the hard way that if I want God’s full protection on all of the above items – that I have to Plead the Blood on the night before the beginning of the next month. In other words, if I want God’s protection for the month of May, then I have to Plead the Blood on all of the above on the last day of April.
I have been burned several times when I forgot to do this and was subjected to several abnormal attacks on the first day of that new month. It would be like a football player forgetting to put his helmet on for even one play. Not having his helmet on for even that one play could get him killed due to the intensity of the game that he is playing.
5. Applying a Bloodline
Here is another thing that you can do, especially for those of you who own a house with property surrounding it. You can walk around the entire property Pleading the Blood of Jesus as you walk completely around it in a circle. What you are doing is applying a Bloodline around your property.
I have read of cases where Christian farmers have done this to protect their livestock and flock from attacks from wild predators. In one case in particular, a farmer was having a problem with some of his farm animals being killed by a wild wolf. He went ahead and applied a Bloodline around his entire property. When he woke up the next day, he found a dead wolf lying about two feet passed the point where he had just pleaded the Blood over the day before.
In other words, the wolf had crossed over about two feet into the farmer’s territory and had crossed the Bloodline. The wolf was stricken dead as soon as he crossed this Bloodline. The farmer had no more problems with any of his animals being killed after that one wolf had been struck down.
Pleading the Blood and applying a Bloodline around your house and property can also help protect you from earthquakes or tornadoes. There have been documented cases out in California where some Christian families had Pleaded the Blood over their houses and property. An earthquake had then hit the entire area. All of the houses in their subdivision had sustained some type of damage from the earthquake, but there was no damage whatsoever to the houses that had the Blood of Jesus pled on them by the Christian families!
6. Trains and Planes
Another area in which you can Plead the Blood on is whenever you are getting ready to get on a train or plane to go out of town. Simply Plead the Blood on the train or plane either right before you get ready to board it, or do it the night before. I do not have to tell you how many plane wrecks we have seen over the last 5-10 years. Better to be safe than sorry on this issue.
Now I will show you how to Plead the Blood of Jesus for any actual deliverance that you may need if by chance you have been caught up in a nasty storm cloud.
How to Plead the Blood of Jesus for Deliverance
It gets a little trickier when Pleading the Blood against something that may have already come against you. These are what I call battle situations.
You, or someone else you know, may have just been hit with a life-threatening illness or disease such as cancer. You may know someone who is an alcoholic or drug addict and they cannot seem to break free from it. You may know someone else who is severely depressed and they are seriously contemplating suicide. Another person may be under severe demonic attack as a result of engaging in some type of occult activity.
When you run across a situation that will need God’s supernatural power to fully deliver you, you will usually need some kind of battle strategy in which to war against it.
The person may not be saved and you may have to get them saved before God can move in to deliver them. Another person may be saved, but not walking in a full surrender with the Lord, and you may have to get that person to commit to making a full surrender before God will move in to help them out.
This is where the Holy Spirit is really going to be coming in big time. Depending on the kind of predicament you are dealing with, you will have to be totally guided and led by the Holy Spirit as to how to handle each one of these battle situations.
Each one of these battle situations are completely unique and different. No two battle situations are ever alike. This is why you are going to have to be totally dependent on the Holy Spirit on how to handle each one of these battle situations.
And this will now lead us right into the next section, the personal testimonies of our website where I have written up some of the victories that have been obtained by giving the appropriate battle advice on each one of these unique and different battle situations.
As you will see as I explain what happened on each case, I always go the Lord in prayer first and ask Him how He wants me to handle each one of these unique battle situations.
I also give you some of the specific battle prayers that I gave to some of these people to help get them delivered out of some real nasty predicaments. As you review each one of these testimonies, you will then get an idea on how to handle something that may have already come against you where you will need God’s deliverance and/or healing power to help get you out of it.
All of these powerful testimonies have one major thing in common – and this is where many Christians are really missing out on being able to get delivered from some of their bad predicaments – and that one common denominator is that all of these people had to be taught how to go on the offensive against whatever adversity had just come their way.
Too many Christians are way too passive when confronted with any type of severe adversity.
The Bible tells us that all Christians carry the power of God on the inside of them through the Holy Spirit.
The Bible tells us that we are all soldiers of Jesus Christ. If God is telling us that we are all good soldiers of His Son Jesus Christ, then this means we all have His power at our disposal in which to engage and defeat any enemy that may try and come against us.
The problem is that most Christians have never been taught how to go on the offensive when the enemy does launch an all-out, full scale attack against them. Most Christians have never been taught how to use spiritual warfare so they can directly engage with an enemy head on like David did with Goliath. As a result, many Christians are literally getting their heads knocked off in the arena of life when adversity does come knocking on their doors.
This article, and the “Testimonies” section of our website, will attempt to show you how to use one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful form of spiritual warfare to take on any enemy and come out completely victorious – and that is learning how to Plead the Blood of Jesus Christ directly against whatever adversity may have just come your way.
Before you go into the actual testimonies, let me give you some major power verses from the Bible showing you that all Christians carry the power of God on the inside of them through the Person of the Holy Spirit. And if God is empowering all of us with His divine power, then He is obviously going to want us to do something with it – and that is to use it when we will need it!
‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6)
This one little verse should be memorized by all Christians. In one powerful sentence, God is telling us that things get accomplished not by our power or by our might, but by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- “But you shall receive POWER when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
- “For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in POWER, and in the Holy Spirit …” (1 Thessalonians 1:5)
- “For the kingdom of God is not in word but in POWER.” (1 Corinthians 4:20)
- “… in mighty signs and wonders, by the POWER of the Spirit of God …” (Romans 15:19)
These verses are talking about the signs and wonders that the early apostles walked with. These verses are specifically telling us that all of the signs and wonders that were done by the early apostles were done by the power of the Holy Spirit. And if we have the same Holy Spirit that the early apostles did, then we too are capable of having God manifest His power to us through the Holy Spirit like He did with them.
The Bible tells us that God is no respecter of persons – which means what He will do for one, He will do for another.
- “And with GREAT POWER the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.” (Acts 4:33)
- “I CAN DO ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Notice the word “all” – that there is nothing that God cannot do through you or for you if He should choose to do so.
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy, and NOTHING shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)
I am repeating this verse once again. Again, notice Jesus is telling the apostles they will have His power to defeat all of the power of their enemies and that nothing shall be able to hurt them! This verse should burned into all of our memory banks so that we never, ever forget who we serve and follow in this life, and how powerful our Lord really is!
This one verse is telling us that we all have God’s supernatural power and authority operating through us. We just have to learn how to walk and flow with God’s power that has been made available to all of us through the Holy Spirit.

After reading this article, it would our recommendation that you to go to our “Testimonies” section and print out and study very carefully some of the powerful testimonies we have in there. These testimonies will show you how powerful Pleading the Blood and forming out the appropriate kinds of battle prayers to fit the specific battle situation you are dealing with really is.
Due to the very personal nature of many of these testimonies, I will not be releasing names of the actual people involved.

One more thing. In order to be able to receive forgiveness from the Blood of Jesus for any of your sins, there is something that you must do.
You must first confess the sin to God, and then God will grant you His forgiveness. It is the same thing for the deliverance and protection that is in the Blood of Jesus.
In order to be able to receive God’s deliverance and protection from the Blood of Jesus, there is something that you must do. And that something is “Pleading” the Blood for the protection or deliverance that you are looking for. As you will see in each one of these stories, the Blood of Jesus had to be specifically pled against whatever the nature of the attack was.

I truly believe in the scriptures that say my people perish because of ignorance. This is exactly what happened to my father who died as a result of arthritis. He went to a rebelious born again Christian church who doesn’t believe in the power of healing and what more on the arsenals to use to overcome his illness. As a result he died along with numerous church member who did not even had the chance to pray for their illness. This minister don’t even pray or visited them on their sickbed but they are all rejoicing during funerals. The moral lesson here is to ask for the leading of the Holy Spirit whenever we are joining any Christians or Charismatic movements. If the Holy Spirit is guiding you to run, run as quick as you can!
May I add, plead the blood of Jesus on yourself before allowing others to lay hands upon you for prayer. I’ve actually gotten much worse after having had some lay hands on me for healing. Not all people in a church may be of “our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ”.

I beg to differ very seriously with your statement that you must be a born-again Christian to receive full protection from the blood of Jesus and that a non-believer cannot use the blood of our Saviour. I will give my testimony to substantiate my statement here.
I am a born-again Christian for decades and I had a New Age friend in my home once. This friend of mine used to engage in angel readings and she was definitely a non-believer. When I invited my friend for a period of time to our home I have beforehand forbidden her to engage in any kind of occultic practice, while staying in my home. She agreed.
One day, however, I had the inkling that she would consult her medium/clairvoyant friend for an angel reading. So I went to the room where she stayed and I asked her consent to plead the blood of Jesus over her so that no message will get through to her if it was not from the God of the Bible, Elohim, the Lord of Hosts. She immediately agreed as she was really sure that what she had engaged in previously was kosher. She had no reservations towards that request of mine and I proceeded and pled the blood of Jesus over her.
Without me knowing it, that evening she went and phoned her medium friend for an angel reading. She and her medium friend were friends for many years and she had numerous readings during their friendship. That night, however, something unusual had happened for the first time ever; her friend got an asthma attack and could not get a word out. They both were flabbergasted and embarrassed and my friend had to end the phone call.
Then the next evening she went again and phoned and the same scenario occurred…only this time it was much worse and the medium friend ended up in bed, seriously ill with asthma. Needless to say, there was no angel reading at all. My friend told her friend about my request and they decided that I did witchcraft on them.
Of course I testified to her that such was MY God’s power, i.e the power of the blood of Jesus Christ.
The good that came out of this is that my friend did not engage in angel readings again after that episode…because of fear.
So this is my testimony on this regard. I never condemned or judged my New Age friend, because I see her as a human being who was created by MY God and who is loved by Him as much as I am loved by Him. The practices she had engaged in did not affect my respect and caring for her ever. Jesus loves her the same.
That episode will have a lasting impression on her and my prayers for her conversion will eventually be answered. Perseverance is the key.
I think the author means as a born again believer you receive the birthright as a child of God to plead the blood of Jesus on/against things that you name. He didn’t say only born again can receive the effect of the blood of Jesus.

The prayer was made by you for your friend and it was u who pled the blood and not your unsaved friend. This is in line with the write up which says you have to be born again to plead the blood. your prayer was answered and not the prayer of your friend. Thereby leading to her safety.

While reading the different passages and saying the prayers out loud the Holy Spirit was upon me, and I was all over my house praying and crying especially the part with the wolf killing the farmer’s livestock that you mentioned about the Bloodline and the wolf crossed over and died. I am so thankful to God that I came across this website. In my Christian, I pray to get closer to God..before I was timid, but I am beginning to get bolder and find I am being attacked by the enemy. I know his strategy is to discourage, de-rail, destroy and distract….I had an encounter with the enemy early this morning..I am always awaken by the Holy Spirit early in the mornings to pray, praise and worship. I usually do in bed, whispering songs and praying, trying not to wake my husband. I begun praying even more, when my son had some bad experiences with friends…he is trying to change his life, but its not going down too well….its a long story….but I am always trusting God for his breakthrough….on pleading the blood…after I finished my section around 3:30am minutes to 4:00am…while I went into my rest again, I felt a presence that did not feel godly…I am not sure but I thought I saw a black mist over my head and I felt as though I was being choked….I called out to Jesus…and it lifted a bit but not completely…I called out His name again and the presence was still there..then I begun to say “The Blood of Jesus” and it vanished…I shared it with one of my sisters in Christ and decided to look up scriptures on battles and came across this website…Glory to God in the Highest…..I know whom I believe…He is working miracles in my life…much faster than I can count. I love the Lord and want to walk closer to Him…I am always open to learning more about HIM..in my oh so quiet character, I feel like David when I am challenged by the enemy…I have a powerful prayer warrior….but when I see servants of God so bold and filled with confidence…I Whisper to God.”I’d like a double portion of that”.

I used to stay in Benoni, South Africa and I just started walking around my house pleading the Blood of Jesus, this day I did not want to go out and do it I taught that I will just do when I pray. But I felt an urgency on my spirit to actual go outside and walk around the property and plead the Blood. The time was about 18h00 South African time, and my lawn was not mowed so I do not like walking in the long grass especially when it was getting dark, so I taught no I will plead the Blood the next day, But I had such a conviction to go out that very same day,eventually I went out and run around the property pleading the Blood.
That same night I had a dream somebody waking me up and telling to look outside towards my gate, when I looked I saw some funny thing sitting on top of my gate, and I asked the person who woke me up what are those things sitting on my gate. The person told me that those were demons for “breaking in” that there were going to break into my house, then suddenly I woke up then I realised that it was a dream, when I looked at my watch it was 24H00(midnight) just prayed and slept.
The next morning I was told that some people broke into my next door neighbour house at midnight the exact time I was having that dream, I thanked God because I realised then that If I was disobedient and did not plead the Blood, it would have been me , they would have broken into my house. So people it works.

With all respect, I would like to share some serious red flags that popped out at me while reading this. I am not seeking an argument, but am trying to search out truth. I am posting this out of concern for fellow believers who seem to be misguided.
It seems to me that pleading the blood of Jesus is a form of trying to manipulate God’s will for our own agenda (notice I said ‘trying’ since what God wills will happen despite our manipulations). I will try to clarify this in a moment. One of the first ‘red flags’ is the idea that actual born again Christians need to pray for Christ’s protection over them. If we are truly born again, we have the seal of the Holy Spirit and are already protected (meaning our salvation is protected and guaranteed-not meaning protected from physical harm). Our souls are safe in Christ. Romans 8:35-39 says that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Other verses such as Ephesians 1:13 and 2 Corinthians 1:21 speak of being sealed in the Holy Spirit.
With this in mind, we know that true Christians are promised salvation. Now my question is, where in the Bible does it say we are to be concerned with our physical belongings and are to want them protected? Doesn’t Matthew 6 say that we aren’t to store up treasures on earth…but to store up treasures in heaven…for where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also? If we are so tangled up in our earthly belongings, I would question what we really value. What if it is God’s will to take our belongings, health, family…etc in order to teach us to rely on Him? Think of Job. Do we care more about comfort or about learning about God’s character? Do we value objects or our Lord and Savior Himself? It seems to me that praying protection over things such as our homes, cars, family, finances, work…is a rather selfish thing to do. We don’t want to face any trials, but would rather have an easy life. I believe our prayer should be that God would teach us more of Himself, and draw us closer to Him NO MATTER WHAT THE COST-even at the cost of these physical belongings. Matthew 16:24: “Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me'”.
It seems to me that the deliverance and protection from the blood of Jesus are taken out of context. The verses mentioned on deliverance (Heb 2:14, Col 1:13 and 2:15, 1John 3:8, Rev 12:11) are speaking of deliverance from the powers of darkness meaning that we are no longer slaves to sin. Sin no longer has any power over us-we now have the ability not to sin-what a blessing! These verses DO NOT say that we have been delivered from natural catastrophes, physical harm, or earthly trials. With the relation of the Passover to Christ’s blood protecting us, I also see an issue. The Jews put lamb’s blood over their doors to protect them from the angel of death-true. But in relating this to Christ’s blood protecting us we see that it isn’t simple protection over every little physical mishap. It is protection from death-meaning a spiritual death. Looking at Ephesians 2:1-10 we see that we were once dead in our sins and transgressions…but because of his great love for us, God who is rich in mercy made us alive in Christ even when we were dead in our transgressions. Placing our faith in Christ and His sacrifice saves us from a spiritual death-being eternally separated from our God. It is not something that we are to try to use as protection over our physical belongings-they will soon all pass away!
I implore everyone to look at the Bible. Search for yourself what God’s inspired Word has to say concerning this. Something may seem good, but if it isn’t backed up with Scripture, then it is something we have come up with on our own. If something doesn’t line up with God’s Truth, we must raise red flags-our utmost desire should be to glorify God, living in light of His Truth! Please look into this! Thanks!

I just want to be clear I’m not pasing judgement, instead I just want to add on further information available from scripture teachings that is related to what you have brought forth in your comments.
Yes Jesus died on the cross to save up from sin. However the end of the world has not come yet and we are still in our earthly body – hence we still suffer the effects of sin.
Satan is still prowling around looking to steal, kill and destroy. He will only be thrown into hell at the end of days as shown in revelations. Therefore spiritual warfare is still on going. Satan is still trying to con people into staying away from God. Jesus said “no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” Take note that Satan isn’t a man and Satan is the father of lies. If you don’t resist him and build up your inner man, you will start to believe his lies. When enough damage is done, and you choose to leave Jesus, God will not stop you. God never forces us against our will.
Yes the focus shouldn’t be to store up earthly treasures. We focus instead on doing God’s will, and God is able to give us fullness of blessings. To do God’s will on earth, earthly resources however is needed and God causes it to multiple (like Jesus multiplying food for the disciples to feed the gathered people).
The author points out the blood of Jesus is effective for a person who is born again and has surrendered their life to God. This type of person definitely has a deep relationship with God in order to have that much trust in God to surrender their will fully to God.
Prayer can either be carnal minded or holy spirit led. Praying in spirit is powerful and effective. I doubt God even hear carnal prayers. I’ve only come across God answering prayers of righteous people. I’m very sure these are not constantly giving in to carnal desires.
It is not the will of God that we suffer in illness, poverty, etc. Jesus took upon Himself our sins and infirmities when he was crucified. Jesus HAS ALREADY PAID for them. God has stated throughout the Bible on abundant blessings we can claim easily by cooperating with God instead of rebelling.
Evil instances are sent by the devil and his gang of fallen angels. We have a duty to stand against the devil and his fallen angels. We are the body of Christ on earth. We fight spiritual battles in Jesus name. God gave us spiritual equipment to fight back against satan. The spirit of God is in us. Jesus has overcome satan and Jesus said we shall do even greater things than what He did on earth.
If you belief that the blood of christ is misused, then by all means don’t plead it. The reason is, it is sin if your faith is not in it. Everything that does not come by faith is sin.

I totally agree with you H.D, my contribution is not to judge but to draw our Beloved Alison’s attention as we digest the word of God together, you know our understanding of scriptures is very important as compared to just quoting them, our relationship with God grows based on the understanding we gain from the word there are so many people who have heard the word of God but have not developed the life of understanding because it takes understanding to hold God by his word, the bible says when wisdom enters your heart and knowledge is pleasant to your soul discretion will preserve you understanding will keep you beloved it takes understanding to grow in life and not just go through life, wisdom is a principal thing and in all thy getting we are charged to get undestanding, the bible says all scriptures are inspired by God for ‘beneficial’ (take note) that the man of God will be fully competent and completely equipped for every good works, with respect to praying over what God has given to us as blessings here on earth is nothing to be spoken against because there is no way God will give you something to use here on earth without given you the user manual that will guide you so you dont abuse it usage and live it unsecured by his Blood that covers every thing that concerns us, lets not forget that it take grace to receive the blessings of God as much as it takes our right tune with the Holy Spirit in prayer to continually sustain the Blessings in our life, God has made us partakers of Christ for good works, God has given us the power to trend upon serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy but when we fail to exercise the authority that has been delegated to us, whenever Power is delegated to someone it becomes an authority therefore the giver would be breaching which is illegal to exercise what you have entrusted unto another, remember it takes trust to assign such responsibility of authority to someone and this tells us how God loves and trust us as his own, as the saying goes to whom much is entrusted much is expected, here the receiver is expected to utilize it by enforcing the defeat of the enemy the devil know he has been defeated but not willing to accept it but as Right heirs of the most high we enforce by reminding the devil of the defeat that was giving him on the Cross of calvary, So dear Alison i understand your point its a good one but let us allow understanding to keep us.

The Spirit is one. The life I have today is a product of the Blood of Jesus through the grace of Amighty God whose love is unlimited, unconditional and total.God is ever faithful to his words. After reading Revelation 12 v 9 – 12a and Colosians 1 v 12 – 14., and begin to pray the mighty hands of God begin to demonstrate and manifest in my situation. I am depressed and a victim of enemies attack in my life and facing criminal charges over something i did not do. I have been charged to appear in court but i am happy to learn what the blood of Jesus can do for me concerning my present situation.. I am a believer and have faith that God will deliever me and set me free from this charges and even as i put to bed in 3 weeks time i pray to deliever like the hebrew women.
I woke up from a bad dream and started pleading the blood of Jesus and went on line to find scriptures on the Blood when I stumbled into this article. I agree with you to a certain degree, the scriptures you make reference to are the scriptures Christians aught to mention and not to plead the blood there is no direct scripture that gives us that authority, the bible describes the blood of Jesus as the blood of the sprinkling, it is your own opinion that christians have to plead the blood, remember the word of God is the sword of the spirit so if we mention the. Word the Spirit of God takes action. The blood has been shed for us, pleading it is wrong authority. May the good Lord enlighten the readers through his word. So going around my property line and saying I plead the blood of Jesus is wrong for protection? That ok just need to know the truth of what I’m doing. Now before reading all this I have a put in writing on the back of the front door it says Jesus I accept your Blood for my sin payment that is scripture because without His Blood for my sin payment we would all be headed to hell. However many christians live a defeated life because when they see the storms of life the forget the word of God which is the sword of the spiri. I have a book on the blood of Jesus that I didn’t see listed here, it’s “The Blood – Entrance Into The Supernatural” by Rona Spiropoulos, who is a lady who had much revelation about the blood of Jesus when she had a supernatural visitation and she was baptised in the Holy Spirit. I haven’t seen a book quite like it and it’s blessed me so much, I just thought I’d mention it to you, if you don’t have it now. I have one of the books you’ve mentioned and am going to buy the other two books as well.

We all know when God instructed Moses to instruct the Israelites to about killing the lamb and how they were to apply this blood on the lintel above the door post and on the two side posts.(read Exodus 12 verses 11 to 14)
As I was meditating it dawn on me that this represented the cross and which is the altar and when you read in Leviticus 17 verses 11 to 14 it says
“For the life is in the blood and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls for it is the blood that makes atonement , by reason of the life.
So now what happens when you plead the blood what does the blood say—-because the bible says the blood of Jesus speak better that the blood of Abel. My friend when the enemy sees that blood on whatever you have pleaded the blood on the blood says” The price has been paid in full and the debt cancelled (see Colossians 2 verse 14)
Jesus Christ has poured out His Life for us and has obtained for us victory over the devil and his demons and our victory is guaranteed. All we need to do is to enforce that victory. We are spirit beings and if you remain victorious in the supernatural (spirit) then you will or you are guaranteed victory in your natural world.
The problem with many people who do not believe in the pleading of the blood of Jesus they look at this from the natural point of view and we cannot see or receive our spiritual blessings from the natural but we do receive our natural blessings from the spirit. Let us look at Ephesian 1 verse 3 it says God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly realm.
We must not ignore the power in the blood, with your natural eyes you will not see or understand the power in the blood but demons and witches they know and see it.

I have been having difficulties in praying like a seroius christian. I feel am too weak to commit in prayers, i hardly take over 10 mins in prayers…yet i have strong urge to pray and pray. The situations am in warrants me to pray but i get so empty and exhausted before 5-10 mins. Is something wrong with me….am from a Catholic background and had been saved some 3 months ago but i really needed a prayer partner but all along i had been walking alone in faith and searching more information from webside.
I did not get saved to have my problems solved but to grow spiritually and be able to walk with God and then with him, get my destiny reshaped; very bad family background, broken relations (twice where a man comes into my life and walks away after begetting a child with me), am educated but have nothing to show, low work position with low pay yet am a lady with a MA, people like cheating me financially they come to beg for help and never refund back, people lie a lot about me, soethimes get framed up over nothing……but i have decided to push them behind and move on with the search for God and getting his mercy in which my salvation shall come.
I think you can benefit from some professional counseling to address some issues: Low self-esteem, faulty expectations, boundaries and personal development. I’m of the opinion that for sure the blood of Jesus covers us spirituality but we are still in a sinful world ruled by the devil and his demons. we will be attacked but these attacks are sometimes allowed by God, like in the case of Job. A friend with whom I am in ministry struggles with the pleading of the blood and where it is scripturally, and I do appreciate and understand her dilemma. If we do not have the Word to back up what we believe, then our belief system is out of order. Many of the scriptures you have quoted are the same I have been standing on, but she is not in agreement on this with me. Thank you for providing a foundation upon which we can study this out. It is very important at this time that we do come into agreement, as we have a serious ministry coming up in the Fall for which we must be prepared, physically and spiritually. kb

I know this is God. I am up late and came across this site. I have been being attacked in my sleep lately. And it occurred once a began to speak for the Lord and witness to people. I will use this and plead the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth over me and my family, and place on the whole armor of God. Lately the Lord made me focus on the spirit of Jealousy, and this is just what I needed to totally illuminate this evil spirit causing havoc in our ministries, finances, family, friends and churches. I believe that the Blood of Jesus also exposes all hidden evil. To that extent, 9/11 was a prophetic occurance which exposed the intensity of evil that confronts mankind in our contemporary age. The consequent revealation knowledge has awaken the Body of Christ from its deep slumber, and spured us to live up to our divine responsibilities in these end times.

-Pleading the blood of Jesus…is it Biblical?
What in the world is “pleading the blood”? What does it mean and why do some Christians do it?
Answer: A couple of reasons. It is because of the tradition of men and their lack of Biblical understanding.
Please do not look at the title of this post and base your response on the title alone. Please read the post in its entirety to understand why “pleading the blood” by way of the examples given is not biblical. The blood of Jesus is important and this post does not dispute that. This post is about using the blood of Jesus by “pleading it” in order to get a house, job, fight enemies and etc. Some of us, depending on what church we go to, have been taught many things out of tradition, error or simply from a lack of understanding.
Pleading the blood is often practiced during deliverance sessions and some do it to ward off the devil or evil in their homes. Pleading the blood is also done for materialistic gain. When we do this, we have reduced ourselves to magical formulas – just like when some of us “bind satan”. We don’t need to beg the blood of Christ into our houses and on our possessions or to gain more possessions. If we are truly Christians, then the blood of Christ has covered the sin in our lives. So by saying, “I plead the blood of Christ,” according to the Bible has zero effect on satan (no one in the Bible has ever “plead the blood of Christ” the way I am describing above). What has an effect on satan is our holiness, righteousness and salvation. “Pleading the blood” doesn’t mean anything (by saying it out of our mouths as if something supernatural is supposed to happen). The way to effectively defeat satan and his demons is by simply having a pure life, confessing sin before God, engaging in spiritual warfare the Biblical way and that takes care of it.
There are some Christians that use the practice (now a cliché) of “pleading the blood” over just about everything – unsaved family members, cars, houses, children, jobs, and things they want cleansed or delivered. Just about anything gets the blood pleaded over it. But this is an unbiblical practice and just wrong on so many levels. Is this going to take us to hell? No. But we are commanded to grow in the knowledge of God. Truth adhered to, no matter how much it offends us has the power to make us free. Some of us do it with pure sincerity. It is simply the way we were taught and everyone around us is doing it. I must admit, tradition has crippled us. In a day were there is so much false doctrine we must contend for the faith as never before and be watchful else we will be deceived.
The idea of “pleading the blood” is not even a biblical concept (by way of examples given above. Please keep that in mind when reading this post). The blood of Christ has already been plead in our behalf and it washed away our sins and made us children of God, justified and redeemed. There’s nothing else left to plead. On the cross Jesus said it is finished. Now we simply have to just believe the Gospel and obey it. Nowhere do we read of the apostles “pleading the blood”, but we do read throughout the NT that they overcame satan and trials with faith, confidence and absolute trust in the Lord.
Where does this view come from?
It is believed by some that pleading the blood simply means applying the blood to our life and circumstances just like the Israelite’s applied it to their door posts and were protected from the destroyer (Exodus 12). Some also believe that pleading the blood is simply the taking hold of the authority and power available to us by the death and resurrection of Jesus. Some believe it is our priesthood right. Although we are priests, Jesus is our high priest, we cannot apply the blood over any or every thing we want cleansed. The blood is applied only to those who have faith in the atonement of Christ. It is an individual’s choice and it happens only once, when we first believed. If the above views are to be believed and accepted, we must then ask ourselves as believers, “how many times are we going to send Jesus to the cross to keep crucifying Him?” Didn’t He say it was finished? Aren’t we now adopted, redeemed and justified? There is no need to keep sending Him to the cross. We cannot put the blood over people and things them or on them. This is a spiritual act and only God can do it. We can confess it until we are blue in the face, it’s not happening. We don’t have the power to save anyone/apply Christ’s sacrifice to anyone or anything. As believers we cannot resource Old Testament types and apply them to our faith. Jesus fulfilled them already. In the Old Testament motif’s, the blood was sprinkled in the holy of hollies for the people by the high priest once a year. But the objects were those set apart for the Lord, strict instructions were given by God himself on this matter. The high priest could not sprinkle the blood on anything his heart desired. This was done only on the objects God set apart in the temple. It was sprinkled on the ark and the mercy seat for their forgiveness. We see no such practice by the apostles or instructions in the epistles to do any such sprinkling or pleading of Christ’s blood on anyone (even those demon possessed). In the Old Testament it was a physical act by the priest to put the blood on the altar, not moving it from one place to another. It is the same principle in the New Testament, one cannot move it on to those people or things for cleansing by speaking, (pleading it). The blood represents the life of the person, we cannot plead His life on others. Only the high priest handled the blood to go on the mercy seat for the forgiveness of sins. In the NT, that high priest is now Jesus. Jesus is the only one who can “sprinkle” His blood, not us. We can’t physically touch it today nor can we apply it somewhere else spiritually.We are not the high priest, Jesus is.
So, the blood was to be on the altar before God (Exod.24:6) and Moses took half the blood and put it in basins and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Heb. 9:19-22:” For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.” Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.”
In the NT it is now the blood of Jesus that continues to cleanse today. It cleanses all those who have faith in Christ’s sacrifice because it is eternal. There is no magical power in application of the blood for the numerous uses it is used for today (purchase of houses, cars, to make our unsaved family members do right, to keep evil away, to stop an unfavorable situation from happening, to make our church meetings successful). It was for the cleansing and forgiveness of sins. To use it in the ways described throughout this post means (let’s be honest) that we have a distorted view of its application and meaning. Christ’s blood is precious, incorruptible, eternal and holy. There is so much power in the blood of Jesus Christ. It is by His blood that we are saved and our sins are forgiven. It is by His blood that we are no longer enemies to God. We who were far off are made nigh by the blood (Ephesians 2:13). How powerful and awesome is that! As Christians we should not “plead the blood” (as if it has not already been done for us), but remember that it has already been pleaded for us on the cross well over 2,000 years ago and it is still at work even now in all of us (those who believe). We have to constantly remind ourselves of the shed blood of the Son when we are struggling with guilt. In remembering what He has already done is both permissible and effective. Now that we understand that it is done, we can repent and turn from our sinful ways and yield to God and His Spirit. God will forgive us.
Ephesians 1:7 states, ” In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”
Scripture teaches that it is through the blood that our sins are forgiven, nothing more and nothing less. When we are overcome with guilt, we need to go back and remember the cleansing power of the blood. That is our only plea–as in a courtroom plea. In that sense, we can and should plead the blood, not by confessing or asking God to do it, but by remembering that Christ has already done it for us on the cross and understand that because He shed his blood we have forgiveness of sins. And if we confess our sins He will be faithful and just to forgive us our sins.
Nowhere in scripture does it teach us to “plead the blood” for any other reason (wealth, gain, protection or for fighting the devil). Pleading the blood has often taken on a meaning that goes far beyond biblical teaching. It has become a magic charm that is used in a supernatural way. Truthfully, it is borderline manipulation and witchcraft. This may sound harsh, but it is what it is. Pleading the blood is never taught in scripture and can have serious implications. It puts us into bondage and error. Historically, this has been happening in every Age to Christians (in the bible, the Middle Ages and etc.). They were mixing superstitions and magic with their Christianity.
Galatians 4:9 says, “But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, where unto ye desire again to be in bondage?”
The Bible teaches us well how to fight the Devil, how to abide in God for protection, and anything else we need. God has already given us everything we need in His Word for life and godliness. We don’t have to resort to anything else. This is how following un-biblical practices can put us into bondage. If we don’t do it the way scripture teaches us we will not be free and it hinders us from growing in the knowledge of God. We need to stay with biblical teaching. Let me point out two of the many methods scripture teaches us to successfully have victory over the devil. First, we are to submit to God and resist the devil – James 4:7. That is, we are to resist his temptations to sin by submitting to God (casting down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ).
James 4:7 states, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
In this verse, resistance is the opposite of submission. To resist is to refuse to submit, yield, or give in to. If we will resist the devil, the Lord will help us and the devil will flee just like he fled when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness. Jesus continued to resist Him with the Word. This is the example we should follow. Not something man made through tradition.
According to 1Corinthians 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
We must believe and practice this. Those who use this as a means to access the power of God, His protection, etc.. should really begin to re-examine this practice (and others like it) in light of scripture and learn to rightly divide the word of truth. This practice has become like a magic phrase. It is not taught in Scripture and can/does have some serious consequences (it can lead to unbelief, false faith, and disappointment). We need to remember that beliefs have consequences – good or bad. Often, consequences can be a death sentence for some. When we fall into the trap of using something as a magic solution or supernatural trinket, it brings us into bondage.
Again, this is an unbiblical practice. The Bible contains no record of its ever being used by any apostle, prophet, or any other believer. Paul and the other apostles preached in many demonic places without once reciting this mantra. It is a vain practice that opens the door to much error, fanaticism, and spiritual bondage. It needlessly gives attention to satan, demons and highlights our lack of knowledge and understanding of the truth of God’s Word. Please don’t engage in in-biblical practices.

Many thanks to the website and its authors for publishing this topic, and I agree with you Reid absolutely! not one of the quotes listed can substansiate the case for such a thing as being covered in the blood/pleading the blood of Jesus. What the authors and believers of this dangerous misunderstanding of god’s purpose need to to do is strip the bible of its added chapters and verses and read the writings of the New Testament as the letters that they were originally intended to be. Peter warns that there are those that misinterpet the writings of Paul (which are hard to understand) to thier destruction. Having diligently read the writings in a language they are conversant with, they then earnestly need to come to grips with the meaning of ref. Hebrews 10 v.26 through v.29. The reason none of the recorded appeals – at least in Acts – makes mention of the blood is because reference was always being made to what was previously said to Moses ( Deuteronomy 18:18-19 ). For me this is the most important statement of the entire Bible! I do not need to plead the Blood because I can ask the Father anything according to His will in the Name of Jesus; and I can according to the Lord’s Prayer, ask deliverence from evil and to be spared temptation. To plead the blood of Jesus is to deny that Jesus is Lord! Do we want that?
No, let us take to heart (ref. John Ch.8 v31 and 32) and find out what Jesus taught (ref. Matthew chapters 5,6 and 8 ). let us practice in all of our relationships that teaching so that we may stand before God on the day of judgement with a pure conscience, that we can truthfully say that we have heeded the Word given to Moses, and we have been fruitful in good works which follow from what Jesus taught. There are things that occur for a reason and sometimes they get quite strange, a few day’s ago I was struggling in my sleep, deep down I knew I was under attack from evil, I had a dream some one was on are balcony trying too get in, I awoke at 6:00am and found my twenty year old son crying on the couch, he was frightened and told me something was in the living room and was pacing about, there was a knocking sound coming from the corner where my computer is (we have lived here for 2 years and I have never heard this knock before)here was the evidence, his Grandmother called at 5:45am that’s when the knocking started, her phone number was recorded on the display.
She admitted to us last year to being a prostitute,thief,murderer,and practicing voodoo,she has been phone harassing us relentlessly for day’s now, if ever a time came for pleading the blood of Christ it is now, please pray for us!

I have been reading a book about the blood of Jesus which has been helping me to realize why I have been so stressed lately. I have not been beginning in the end where “It is finished”, but relying on my own ability instead of trusting in the finished work of the cross. Somehow, I had forgotten that I was purged from dead works (self) with the unblemished blood of Christ so that I could serve the living God.
I have been looking for a nice house on the budget of about a dime and I have some other things going on. Yesterday, I saw myself walking around the property that I believe is the one God has for us, pleading the provision for life that is in the blood confessing many of the scriptures outlined in this article. Thanks be to God that the blood of Jesus speaks better things than, doubt and uncertainty which is how I have been speaking lately. This morning the Lord woke me up around 3:30 I began to praise him and seek him about a dream I had, because in the dream I was pleading the blood of Jesus over a baby. I went online and put on some music about the blood of Jesus, and the cross of Calvary and jammed for awhile. Later, I found some index cards (at one time I used these regularly to memorize and confess scripture) in my desk drawer and set them aside, weird because I was not looking for them.
About 2 hours or so later I decided to do a search on how to plead the blood of Jesus and found this article. When I read the suggestion of the index cards and about the farmer who applied the bloodline on his property I realized that the Holy Spirit was leading me. First to get back to using the word of God on the index cards more specifically what the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus has done for us, and secondly, in total surrender so that He may increase and in turn I may decrease. I can personally testify to the power He gives the believer by confessing who He is as taught in scripture. It is the victory He gives us through faith by believing and confessing His name, His power, His work on the cross that overcomes not just the will of self but also destroys the work of the evil one.
God will always answer a seeking heart. I thank you for this article and I am now getting my arsenal of the word of God to begin proclaiming the living Word of God again in total surrender. The power of life and death is in our tongue. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. With a Word God spoke and it still is today. His word in the mouth of the believer cannot lose. With it we win every battle. It is His kingdom I desire to come; it is His will that must be done. Not simply willed but done!

Hi, I learned about pleading the blood of Jesus about 25,or 30 years ago. I attended a church that taught on this after bible study on wed, nights we would pray for hours night after night going from one persons home to another I began to have dreams on the blood one night I had a dream about wolves as well as the farmers situation walking around his property Ive done this also,but in my dream God was showing me how powerful the blood of Jesus really is in my dream I was walking through a clearing in the woods to go home after church when it began to get dark I looked up to see a pack of the most vicious wolves I have ever seen coming towards me they were going to attack me when all of a sudden Jesus spoke and look down on the ground on both sides of me was two lines of blood in the direction I was walking they kept trying to get through and they couldn’t cause of the BLOOD LINE THAT WENT WITH ME. SO WHEN YOU PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS IT REALLY DOES WORK IT CONTINUES TO WORK FOR ME 25 YEARS LATER. PLEAD HE BLOOD ITS OUR RIGHT.

The blood of Jesus is all powerful and his blood shed for us on the cross is as effective in our lives now as the day we were born again. There is a lot of confusion regarding the Biblical way to overcome satan and the false doctrine taught by Word Faith preachers appears to be where a lot of it stems from. Scripture clearly shows us in Rev 12:11 how to overcome satan and yes it is by the blood but what does this mean? Does it mean we go around saying “satan the blood is against you” or “I plead the blood over X or Y” as if some magical formula? I believe we defeat satan by living in obedience to God’s word and this includes understanding how the blood is effective in our daily lives; meditating on and confessing God’s word and what his word says about us and our situation. This is very different to the positive confession false teaching of word of faith where they use the law of attraction philosophy to get what they desire. We are to meditiate upon God’s word and become transformed by the word (Romans 12:) not try to manipulate it to get what we want. Spiritual warfare is biblical and is not an option for believers because whether we accept this or not we are in spiritual battle. Expelling/casting out demmons/deliverance is Biblical and part of the warfare but much of what is done in the name of spirtual warfare is not.
Let me be clear I pray for God’s protection and ask him to deliver me from a certain situation but more than repeating what sounds like some formula I pray God’s word back to him as I am led for example during prayer I may say something like the following; I believe your word that tells me that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him. I fear and honour you almighty God, I submit totally and unreservedly in every area of my life. The word of God tells me that when I submit to God the devil will flee from me, thank you for your protection, thank for your deliverance, thank you for your provision I hide your word in my heart that I may not sin against you. I believe that when we pray as we are led by the spirit with understanding this is more effective than simply saying I plead the blood over X or Y. When I face a crisis or go through trials I pray specifically about it I ask God to heal, deliver, save, restore and in all things I submit to him. I pray that God will show me anythng that I need to see about the situation that I have not yet seen, the wisdom of God transcends our finite understanding. While the blood is definitely effective we do not have to plead the blood in this way we have God’s word we are born again we are already under the blood we go through trials, testings sickness sometimes it is because of our sin othertimes it is God allowing us to go through things. The Bible tells us we will go through persecution the way to respond is the way Jesus and the disciples did…there is no Bible reference to any of them pleading the blood in the way that many people do. I say all of this out of love for my brothers and sisters in Christ because I believe there are so many practices that the church has accepted that have no Biblical basis. Selah.

I’ve been battling with a UTi for long and have been praying but the situation kind of grow bigger everyday, but I’ve not lost hope in my God because I’ve always believed that where Doctors fail that he is capable of taking over so that the glory will go to him. I am bless for finding this article. I have been going through some things. Having to deal with evil people around me at times. I plead the blood of Jesus on them and myself. I am a better person due to the teachings I am receiving. Some of them have been very hard and heartbreaking, however, my faith was not shaken. It just made me stronger.
There are some very good stories here of triumph over evil, if your read one of my old comments my family was under attack by a very evil person, we prayed and pleaded the blood of Christ for protection and we have not had any trouble for months now, demons hate God and all mention of Jesus, amen.

God’s Word says to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. To put your dependance on anything else other than the sufficiency of Christ’s work on the cross is heresy. There is nothing in the New Covenant ( which is our covenant with God, the old is obsolete) which gives this teaching on pleading the blood of Christ.This is no different than so called blessed hankerchieves and olive oil.

Thank God for the blood of Jesus that washes, cleanses and protects. I have a friend who was teaching a class when a man wielding a cutlass came into the room, all the student ran out leaving her. What she did was to plead the blood of Jesus and the man turn around walk out of the class room went uf the street and use the cutlass on some one else. A cousin of mine was awaken in the late hours of the night with a man standing over her, her response was the blood of Jesus which she continually repeated the man turn and walk out of the house, my cousin lives alone.

There is power in pleading the blood of Jesus
At some stage ,I was in severe spirital warfare. In a vision I saw a black dark cloud entering through my bedroom window and when I tried calling the name of Jesus it overpowered me and i swallowed that dark evil cloud. Immediately I got up because that happened in my sleep yet felt very real, I was so scared beyond words and thats when I opened the internet and googled ,the power of the blood of Jesus and instantly the music played “i am grateful for the blood of Jesus,washes whiter than the snow”.I woke up my sons while that song was playing and they prayed for me and pleadig the blood of Jesus, God is good because at that moment as my sons were praying I felt the urge to vomit and i vomited something out and praise God, I was delivered from the demon. After that i went back to sleep with that song still playing on the background. The powerful,sanctifying blood of the lamb that was slain is readily available for us to use as our weapons to fight spiritual demonic warfare. Amen

I once lost a title and 8,000/= shillings and when I pleaded the blood of Jesus on the bag i found them intact on the matatu which had already gone for several trip the bag fell under the seat and the funnny thing i did not know the matatu but God directed me to the direction it had gone to and I found it intact. I am so excited, and finding this site proves God’s love for me! I for got the power of the blood in my travels, even when I did use it before…and it really does have power. This is my testimony…I must tell you my testimony, of something that happened in my life. That shows how Jesus loves us, before we ever started loving him. I was 21 years old, and I had to catch a bus. I lived in Los Angeles, Long Beach area. That day I was in Paramount, coming back from a job interview. I got on the bus, not thinking about anything but if I would get this job, or not…plus, about my baby that was growing inside of me. When out of the back of the bus, was a pack of gang members. A woman spouted off “Hey you!” I did not answer, as there were others on the bus she could have been talking to. She yelled out “You, you stupid pregnant #@*%!” I knew I was danger, and so was my baby! She started threatening me, because I asked if she was talking to me. I got real worried, as my body started to shake. I stood up to walk away, when she threatened “Don’t you walk away from me, I will kill you!…and some more choice words!” At that time I lost it, I turned, and unleashed what truths I knew about their hatred toward me, when I caused no harm to them!” The leader backed the girl down, and started talking to me about the slavery white people put their ancestor through. What scripture I knew I blurted out, and I asked them if they believe in God. Not all said yes, but the leader did! I told him I wanted peace, because for one thing, I was not my ancestor! Second, because if they wanted to continue to bring great harm, I was prepared to die..for what strength did I have over 8 people, and me being pregnant! I would just have to trust in God, no matter how much I feared. I was faced with spiritual warfare! I was over joyed, when they left me alone…and the bus driver told me to come up front in sit! I thank God for his love, and protection, guiding me through it! At that time I did not know what spiritual warfare exactly was, no one around me really talked about it much, or deliverance. Today I was reading an article about it, as I feel I am under spiritual attack again…and it brought back that certain memory. Which also proves his walk with me, and everyone else. I think one of today’s problems is lacking knowledge, how Jesus is with us. Sees everything we do, say, or keep secret! I believe now as I have grown in Christ Jesus, that it was a testing time, for courage..Trust, and appreciation of not being killed, nor my Neomi harmed! No curse of the devil like sickness can stay in you. Pray a simple pray and ask him for healing. Think of how you will help other now and when you are healed. Spread God’s word. I am asking him for a job so I can give money to others. I don’t need people to give me. i need the conditions to be right to work so I can give. My children and I are ill too but God will heal us to be useful to his kingdom. with Godly love we love you.

Did you say the salvation prayer in Romans 10:9-10. Try to trust God as you wait for your deliverance. Force yourself to read the Bible every day, pray every day, meet Godly people, and go to church or synagogue. Read Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Then Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and Acts of the Apostles. Love others and pray for people who are mean or bad to you. It is hard even for me but let us make it a habit and soon we will have a lifestyle of praying for even those who are bad to us. Hurting people hurt others. Aim after to read the whole Bible in a year. Know what each religion is about so you can avoid ones that does not obey God. Jesus is the way of salvation but you have to know his values. what did he do? He did not come to take the Rabbi’s jobs just to help them be better Rabbi’s he did not come to Over throw the Roman government he wanted to show the leaders there how God’s laws would make their subjects happier, healthier, more peaceful people. you follow his ways in the Bible. The Blood was applied in Exodus, as type of -Jesus shed blood for us. Thus we have victory on all the forces of darkness. We need to honor the Blood as we walk hating Sin & live glorifying Him in our life. We have now the Authority, Inheritance & even mutation with Jesus that we have His DNA working in us. If we are working in unceasing walk, God consciousness, Jesus consciousness, then our mere command is enough for enemy to scoot. That is all our Lord told us that we shall do wonders as we follow, in His Name. His Name is not mere signature or a stamp but walking in authority, since we have made commitment to walk worthy.
While I say this, as I find many plead the “Blood of Jesus” as a Charm: not bothering their walk. They may be following a denomination, a branch of Christian Religion & not hungry to Obey ( Mt 5:19) His Word. By declaring Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour will give you All the protection you need. Once you declare that you have given your life to Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit dwells in you (God lives in you). Whilst living on earth you are in Christ and when you die you will be with Christ Jesus in eternity.
There is NO minimum or maximum protection, only God’s protection and His protection will be sufficient in ALL circumstances.
Speak to God at every opportunity you have (prayer), read His word which is truth (bible) and be obiebent to what the word His says we should do and you’ll see that no demon or situation will defeat you.

Am writing in response to Harmonica,s write up. You just said you have been born again for decades. The prayer was made by you for your friend and it was u who pled the blood and not your unsaved friend. This is in line with the write up which says you have to be born again to plead the blood. your prayer was answered and not the prayer of your friend. Thereby leading to her safety.

I cannot find a single reference in the New Testament to this “pleading the blood” you and many talk about.You seem to think its like some form of “Christian magic” we can apply to our lives.It was completely unknown to the first martyr Stephen as he was stoned to death!
The apostle Paul lists in 2 Cor many ways he suffered.We know people plotted to kill him on at least 2 occasions and he was shipwrecked to Malta.He obviously had not read your advice about praying for travel-safety! In Ephesians he lists the components of the “armour of God” and he must have forgotten to tell them “plead the blood”.People also quote the verse in Rev.12 v 11 which ends…” and they loved not their lives unto the death” These people were martyrs for Jesus and this happens in some countries even today.The blood of Jesus is described by Peter as “precious” and not to be taken in a non-biblical way.

It’s roughly a year since you took the time to write such a lengthy article. Don’t you think that instead of “pleading the blood” as a ritual in spiritual warfare, Christians should grow in their REVELATION that accepting Jesus has made them righteous and ALREADY covered by the blood. Jesus died once, his blood was shed once, and pleading His blood every day makes it seem as though the power couldn’t stick to us the first time! What if we need to start pleading salvation daily because that also doesn’t stick??! It is called the FINISHED work of the cross. It’s in our relationship with Him that we find our protection and refuge and safety and strength, not in magic words like pagans might use. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of His blood, and reminding myself what it has done, but there is no power in litany and this long article, although quoting great scripture, does not make a rational case for the practise you are suggesting should be embraced by believers. Believers are called to BELIEVE – in the finished work of the cross. I think we move in very different spiritual circles and I don’t want to disrespect you, but I must admonish you that purporting these ideas is offensively heretical to my side of the spectrum.
I also believe in the Finished work of the Cross. And yet, I don’t see any conflict in this article with this truth. It is BECAUSE of the sinless blood of Jesus shed on the altar of Calvary, that “we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Praise God that it is by grace we are saved and not by works!! However, Rev 12:11 tells us that we can overcome the accuser of the brethren by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. I believe what Michael Bradley is showing us is that while Jesus defeated the works of the enemy at the Cross, (making a public spectacle of Him at the Cross) we, as the Body of Christ, are here on earth, charged by God to fulfill the Great Commission and reach the lost. That involves a battle strategy whereby we have to be conscious of and consistently reinforce what Jesus bought and paid for in full through His Life and Resurrection. We still live in a fallen world and even though we are new creations in Christ, Paul also advised us to stand strong in the power of the Lord while our enemy prowls about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. We would be naïve to think we don’t have a job to do as we minister as members of the royal priesthood to those who are saved and those who are being saved….and that this job is going to be fought by our foe who wants desperately to deceive us into believing that Jesus didn’t fully redeem us at the Cross with His spotless blood. In my prayers I tend to reinforce the Finished Work of the Cross, which relies completely on the Blood of Jesus, and I attempt to position myself and my loved ones at the foot of Calvary where we are able to fully realize the “sozo” salvation of deliverance, protection, provision, healing and renewal. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Pleading the blood is something I do daily over my family. I was raised by parents who pled the blood of Jesus over us daily and we realized protection. The devil needs to be constantly reminded of the blood of Jesus over our families. We witnessed many miracles growing up but one stands out in my mind more than others. When I was about 3 years old and playing on the kitchen floor, not seeing me my mother accidentally poured a huge pot of boiling water over me. To make a long story short, my dad who was a paramedic feared terrible scaring . . . of which I have absolutely none. Oh, the blood of Jesus!!!
Wow, what an amazing post. The reason for me in finding and reading this post was purely because I believe the Lord instructed me of the importance of protecting ourselves by pleading the blood of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ when we pray and stand in the gap for others.
Recently there was a couple of families who tragically lost some of their children after a drunk driver hit them when they went out walking to get ice cream, one of the fathers, whose son was still in hospital partitioned a plea for people to pray for his son. My heart was moved at this fathers plea for his son and so I prayed by binding the spirit of death and releasing Gods Spirit to come in and breath His life into the young boy, and that he would live out his Life to the glory of God
Then I went and had a morning sleep. When I woke up I felt a stabbing pain in my right wrist, I asked a God what is this? And I felt that God was instructing me that it is foolish for us to go into battle against the enemy without first protecting ourselves with the protection that is found in the Blood of Christ. So I pleaded the blood of Jesus over the situation and the pain in the right wrist left.

I enjoy reading your article on Pleading the Blood Jesus. Though Bibically stated, not everyone will discern the full understanding of everything of the Word. We are at different spiritual stage in our journey with the Lord. We are all given different gifts to edify each other still serving and worship the same God, the creator of all.
For some time, I often herd Christians Pleading the Blood of Jesus in ways, often not expecting it to be used. More in an abuse of power, Jesus did not abuse the power given to Him by His Father, for example, only when it was necessary for Him to do so to exert His authority over the devil. Of-course there others through lack of knowledge and understanding will distort the Word and mislead those who are diligently seeking the Lord and caught up in such web. May the Holy Spirit us to right source of knowledge.

God bless you, I was wondering how to apply the Blood to a situation I am going through.
Mt Great-Grandson is forced by a court order to visit with his earthly Father one week a month. The problem is he is terrified of his father. When he has to go he screams and begs not to have to go. He gets so upset he actually throws up. You would not believe the way this child looks when he returns from these visits. Nearly every time he is so sick and dirty we have to take him to the emergency room. No matter what happens to him during his visitation his father will not take him to a Doctor. He has even come home covered in infected ant bites all over his little body as if someone just set him in a bed of ants and wouldn’t let him get out. I need more of the Holy Spirits guidance and to open myself up more to Holy Spirits urgings. I am decreeing that this situation has been reversed and that my Great-Grandson is free from the injustice and abuse of this evil man
We have spent so much money fighting this in court but so far to no avail. It seems the Courts cares more about the parents right than what is best for the child. We have documented proof of how many times he has had to go to the doctor or emergency room.
We have pictures of his little bottom bleeding because his diaper has not been changed.
If you ask him about his father he says I can’t talk about that or I can’t tell you.
I have been praying and decreeing that those things which has been hidden must be revealed. and he finally told his mother his father kicks him and hits him with his fisk.
Will you please pray in agreement with me that the Court will reverse this Court Ordered visitation and issue only supervised visitations. We are going to see a new lawyer on the 25th of this month. We need all the prayer warriors we can get to combat this injustice. Your thought and inspirations on how to better fight this fight will be appreciated.

I find drawing a blood line around my home also very practical for believers. I have read about your example of drawing a blood line. I think believers should often plead the Blood for their many problems you mentioned. Many Christians are not taught to plead the Blood and they are ignorant.

Through the holy blood of Jesus, my dad was saved..He was in critical situation in ICU, almost dying, when I prayed that God will deliver him through the Blood, something happened..I command the blood to heal my dad from leukemia, to replace his blood with precious blood of jesus..I plead desperately for HIS blood..I was amazed how quickly my dad recover and up on his bed on his own…doctors who saw him can’t believe that this man who is dying is now very much alive ..there is life in blood, there is healing in blood, there is power in blood..Glory to God…

How should I say the prayer to pled the blood of Jesus over my home there are demons in here and God bowed them down in my home. I can’t take them out only God can. I don’t know what to do. I don’t think I move Gods heart to help quickly I pray he won’t answer quickly but I pray with others people prayer he answers quickly. I need help I been hurt in many ways by demons 9 years.
