The Embryonic Stem Cell Debate

Filed under: Newsletter — Mike @ 7:26 am

As you all know, we have major elections set for 11/7/06. One of
the issues that has risen to the surface as a result of an
amendment that is trying to be passed in the state of Missouri
is the big debate on embryonic stem cell research.

Many people I have talked with on this issue are very fuzzy and
muddled with all of it. They really do not understand exactly
what is being done with this type of research and are thus
having a hard time in being able to decide one way or the other
on it.

We have just added a new article to the site titled “The
Embryonic Stem Cell Debate
.” In this article I give you the
play-by-play account of exactly what is going on with this kind
of research and why I feel this type of research and
experimentation is a direct violation against the laws and ways
of our Lord.

The truth is in the actual facts and I give you the basics facts
of the procedure that is being used to extract these stem cells
from real live human embryos. To find and see the real truth on
this matter, you have to look at it like pieces to a jigsaw
puzzle. Once you have all of the pieces to the puzzle put out on
the table and then have them put properly together, I believe
that the real truth then becomes very easy to see.

Whether or not this amendment passes in the state of Missouri
this Tuesday, this debate will not be going away anytime soon.
It is only going to get much hotter and much more intense in the
coming years as other states look to try and get into this
research like Missouri is now trying to do.
For what it is worth, we thought we’d give it our best shot to
try and explain all of this to you so that you can then make up
your own mind as to whether or not we are treading into
forbidden territory with our Lord with this type of research and
experimentation.
Blessings,

Mike

  1. Don’t get me wrong, I am a very devoted Christian, but this stem cell issue may be my only hope for healing from a Traumatic Brain Injury(TBI) & without my healing I will remain disabled and stem cells may be what I need to be healed & then I can tell my story of how God saved me and allowed me to be Born-Again. Without healing my life & any brain injured person is basically wasted.

  2. There are two things that we all ought to be aware of here. One is the embryonic stem cell research and the other is the abortion issue. Since the abortions are being done without let up let those aborted fetuses count for something. I for one would like to see abortions halted except in the case of the life of the mother or rape. But since this is going on anyhow, why not use those fetuses for the stem cell research? I would like to hear from anyone here what they think. Agree? Disagree? Why? Why not?
