In the article we have in the Spiritual Warfare section of our site titled, “4 Levels of Spiritual Warfare Against Demonic Spirits,” I gave you the 4 basic levels in which demonic spirits can attack people – which includes all Christians.
This specific article will be dealing with the second level – which is when demons are allowed to attack as a result of a legal right given to them by the person they have targeted.
If by chance you have come across this article and have not read the above article on the 4 levels in which demonic spirits can move in for an attack – it would be my recommendation that you first read that article so that you can have a good, basic understanding of what these 4 levels are all about and how this second level fits into the big picture.
In this second level, demons will move in for an attack once they see a person committing a door-opening, hedge-breaking sin and transgression against the Lord. In this second level, it does not make any difference if this person is a Christian or nonbeliever. There are rules to the spiritual war games that are going on behind the scenes in the battle between God and the devil for all of our souls – and demons themselves have to abide by these rules.
In the above article, I gave you the verse from the Book of Job which shows that we apparently have some type of protective spiritual hedge surrounding us or else demons would be constantly attacking everyone and we would all be in a state of constant warfare with them.
What happens in the spiritual realm is that this hedge can be broken by a person if this person commits a heavier type of sin and transgression against the Lord. In that article, I gave you some of the heavier sins and transgressions against the Lord that could possibly break this hedge, thereby causing a hole to occur in it – thus giving the demons the opening and legal right to be able to start to come directly after you. For the purposes of this article, I will go ahead and re-state what some of those heavier sins and transgressions are.
As Christians, we can have absolutely nothing to do with any of the following areas:
- The occult
- False religions and cults
- Any part of the New Age Movement
- Any type of Satan worshipping group
- Any involvement with abortion or the abortion industry
- Abusing alcohol
- Doing any type of drugs – including pot
- Any type of extreme verbal and/or physical abuse on your mate or children
- Any type of promiscuous sexual lifestyle
- Any type of criminal activity
- Murder
- Bringing a cursed object into your home
All of the above areas are extreme forbidden areas with our Lord. He will not be putting up with any of His own entering in and engaging in some of these heavier sin areas.
If you do, and you do not pull out of it within a reasonable length of time, then God could pull back His hand of protection on you and your life, and you thus could end up with a big hole occurring in your protective hedge, thereby giving the demons the opening and legal right to be able to come directly after you.
All of the above activities are major door openers to the dark side, and demons just wait for people, especially Christians, to cross over into some of these realms – knowing full well that they will have the appropriate legal rights to move in for an all out attack if that person does not pull out of it within a reasonable period of time.
If you are a Christian, and you have fallen into some of these heavier, dark side areas and have drawn demonic spirits into your life as a result – there is deliverance for you if you are willing to admit that you have sinned and transgressed against your Lord and Savior.
If you are willing to see the errors of your ways and are ready to renounce and pull out of the demonic areas that you have fallen into – then God can work with you to set you completely free from these demons and drive them out of your life for good.
But you are first going to have to admit to God that you have sinned directly against Him by crossing over into some of these heavier forbidden areas to begin with.
If you can’t see and admit that you have been sinning directly against the Lord, and that you have been wrong by crossing over into some of these forbidden areas to begin with – then there will be no deliverance for you, and the demons will continue to have the appropriate legal rights to be able to stay attached to you, and they will then continue to tear you and your life to pieces.
To any of you who may have fallen into one or more of the above dark side areas and have drawn demons into your life as a result, and are really looking to be delivered from the bondage you now find yourself caught up in – this article will give you a good, basic, 5 step process on how to go about properly breaking the legal rights of the demons so that God can fully deliver you from their evil grip.
I will then give you a battle prayer that I had given to another woman who had drawn heavy demonic activity in her life as a result of crossing over into some of the above areas. This battle prayer will have all 5 of these steps properly incorporated into the prayer.
At the outset – you have one of two choices. You can either try the 5 steps I will give you below and attempt to do a self-deliverance on your own – or you can seek out the help and guidance from someone who is experienced with delivering people from demons.
God is raising up more people at this time who know how to do deliverances, so you might be able to find someone close to where you live at who can help you with this if you are too scared to try it on your own.
From the personal experiences I have had with this kind of deliverance, many of these deliverances can be done as a self-deliverance – where you go before God the Father on your own, follow the 5 steps I will give you below, and then verbally engage with the demons, telling them that they now have to leave you in the name of Jesus Christ once you have properly broken all of their legal rights before God the Father.
However, if after reading what these steps will entail, you still feel reluctant or too afraid to try this on your own, then the first thing that I would recommend is that you try and talk to your pastor if you belong to a church. Tell him what your problems are and see if he would be willing to work with you to get you delivered from these demons.
If he can’t or won’t help you for whatever his personal reasons may be, then ask him if there is anyone else in his church who is experienced and anointed to be able to handle this kind of deeper problem for you.
If there is no one at your church who is experienced and anointed to do deliverances, then I would ask your pastor if he knows anyone else from any of the other churches in your area who can do a deliverance. If no luck with this option, then I would get into the yellow pages and start calling all of the main Christian churches in your area, and ask if they have someone who knows how to do deliverances.
You may have to go into a seeking mode to find someone who will know how to do this. But do not give up on this, as God will guide you on this if you ask Him to help you find the right person who can get the job done for you.
For those of you who would like to try and handle this on your own as a self-deliverance – especially if you cannot find anyone locally to help you out – here are the 5 basic main steps that you will need to take in order to be able to get complete deliverance from these demons.
I will first list each one of these steps, one right after the other, so you can see exactly what you will have to do. Here are the 5 steps.
- The full surrender
- Confess each one of your sins before the Lord
- Renounce each one of your sins before the Lord
- Break the legal rights of the demons
- Verbally command the demons to now leave you in the name of Jesus Christ
Now I will go into further detail on what you will need to do with each one of these specific steps so you can get yourself set fully free from these demons.
1. The Full Surrender
The very first thing you are going to have to do is to be willing to come into a full surrender with the Lord. We have another article in our site in the Bible Basics section titled, “The Full Surrender.”
In this article, I explain to you exactly what this full surrender is all about, give you all of the verses from Scripture to back up what God is looking for in this full surrender, and then give you a good, simple, full surrender prayer that you can actually use to go before the God the Father to make this full surrender with Him.
The very first rule in spiritual warfare, before you can even begin to do battle with demonic spirits, is that you have to be walking and operating in a full surrender with the Lord. If you are not willing to come into this full surrender with the Lord where He will now be the One to take over the reigns of your life and lead your life into the direction that He will now want it to go in – then there will be no help and no deliverance from these demons.
You have been running your own show over all of the years and now you are in a big mess as a result of drawing these demons into your life. The only way out of it now is going to be God’s way – not your way! You will now have to fully surrender every single part of your life over to the Lord for His direction and handling. God will now be running your entire life from here on in, not you or anyone else in your life.
Here is the verse from the Bible that gives us this specific revelation:
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
Notice the first four words – “Therefore submit to God” – and notice that this verse starts out with this command. What this means is that you first have to be willing to fully submit to God before you can even begin to resist and fight against the devil and his demons to make them flee from you.
Submitting to God means you have entered into this full surrender with Him. You have to be willing to fully surrender every part of your being to Him – body, soul, and spirit, along with your entire life over to Him. Again, all of this is fully explained to you in our article titled, “The Full Surrender” in the Bible Basics Section of our site.
If you are willing to make this full surrender with the Lord where He will now be the One who will be in total control of your life and lead it in the direction that He will now want it to go in, then you will now be ready for step 2.
2. Confess Each One of Your Sins Before the Lord
The next step to be able to receive total deliverance from these demons is that you are going to have to be willing to admit that what you were involved in were sins and transgressions against the Lord in the first place. And then you will have to be willing to fully confess each one of these transgressions out as actual sins before the Lord.
If you can’t or won’t admit that you have been sinning against the Lord with your involvement in some of the above areas – then again, there will be no help and deliverance from these demons. As a result, the demons will continue to hold you captive until you can agree to see and do things God’s way.
It’s either God’s way or the highway. There is no negotiating or trying to compromise your way out of this with the Lord. Sin is sin, and any involvement in any of the above areas are direct sins before the Lord, no matter what your excuse may have been for falling into some of these areas to begin with.
If you are willing to admit that what you have been involved in was wrong and sinful before the eyes of God, and then you are willing to fully confess each one of these sins as actual sins before the Lord in the prayer I will give you below – then you will now be ready for step 3.
3. Renounce Each One of Your Sins Before the Lord
The next step, in addition to being willing to fully confess out each one of these transgressions as sins, is that you will now have to be willing to fully renounce each one of these sins before the Lord. When you renounce each one of these sins before the Lord – what you will now be telling God is that you will never, ever go back into any of these heavy sin areas again.
Before you decide to go before the Lord for your deliverance, you will first have to make sure that you really want to be set free from your sinful past – and that you will do everything you possibly can in your own natural will power not to go back into any of these heavy sin areas ever again.
If you have fallen prey to some of the different drug addictions, ask God, through the power of His Holy Spirit, to help set you completely free from the addictions of whatever drugs you may have been hooked on.
The Holy Spirit is there to help you out with His power if you are really wanting His help. There is nothing that the power of God cannot totally defeat and overcome in your life, no matter how hopeless or bleak the situation may look to you in the natural.
One word of caution in this area! Once you make up your mind to fully renounce any of these types of heavier sins before the Lord – you will have to make sure that you never, ever fall back into these same areas again.
What will happen if you do, is that not only will you give these demons another legal right to be able to come back after you again – but these demons who will be coming back after you for a second time will be demons that will be 7 times more wicked and evil than what the original demons were that had attached to you in the first place.

In this article, I give you the main verse from Scripture where this revelation is being given to us by the Lord, and the appropriate interpretation and commentary on what this verse is trying to tell us. It would be my strong recommendation that you also read this article as part of your education on this topic.
4. Break the Legal Rights of the Demons
Once you have fully confessed and fully renounced each one of these heavier sins before God the Father – then you have just taken away all of the legal rights that the demons had to stay attached to you. Now you are ready to break those legal rights.
I will show you how to properly do this in the battle prayer I will give you below and how to properly word out this part of the prayer. Basically what you will be doing is verbally breaking the legal rights of the demons operating under God the Father’s authority, power, and anointing to be able to do so.
After you break the legal rights of these demons before God the Father, then you will be ready for the last and final step.
5. Verbally Command the Demons to Now Leave You in the Name of Jesus Christ
Once you have fully confessed and fully renounced each one of the sin areas you had been involved in, and then have fully broken the legal rights of the demons before God the Father – then the last thing that will remain will be you turning around and verbally engaging with the demons – telling them that they no longer have any more valid legal rights to stay attached to you, and that they will now have to leave you in the name of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
You will have to verbally do this. Demons cannot read your mind or your thoughts – so you will have to verbally, out loud, command them to now leave you in the name of Jesus Christ. Again, I will show you how to word out this part of the prayer in the battle prayer I will give you below.
The Battle Prayer
I am going to give you an exact battle prayer that I drew up for a woman who had drawn heavy demonic activity into her life as a result of falling into some very heavy dark side areas. This woman has given me permission to release the exact battle prayer that I had drawn up for her.
However, it was agreed that I would leave her name out of it due to the very personal nature of some of the things she was involved in. I will substitute another name in her place so as to keep the flow of the prayer intact.
As you will see when I list out the legal rights the demons had to come into her life in the first place – many of these sins were very severe transgressions against the Lord, and these demons had more than enough legal rights to launch an all-out, full scale attack on her and her life.
This battle prayer is divided into two parts. The first part will be her confessing and renouncing each one of her sins before the Lord, and then breaking the legal rights of the demons once those sins had been properly confessed and renounced before the Lord. The second part of the prayer will be when she then turns around and verbally commands the demons to now leave her in the name of Jesus Christ.
Here are both parts of the exact prayer. I will then add some additional commentary after I give you this battle prayer so I can point out several things to you as to why I worded certain parts of the prayer as I did.
1. Prayer to Break the Legal Rights of the Demons
Father,
In the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, I now approach Your throne in a time of great need, in time of an extreme emergency.
Father, as You already know, I have demons attacking me from the outside, and possibly from the inside of my being. I know why they are in my life. I have done some really bad and evil things in my life. I have horribly transgressed against both You and all of Your basic laws and commandments with the sins that I have personally committed against You.
Father, I first want to say to You that I am really sorry for doing all of these bad and evil things against You. There is no excuse for the kind of behavior that I have exhibited over the years. But Father, I now want to take a strong stand. I do not want any more part of this kind of evil and wicked lifestyle.
I know now that You are My only hope and My only salvation to be able to deliver me from the demonic bondage I now find myself enslaved in as a result of crossing over into these kinds of heavier sins.
Father, I ask that You please have mercy on my soul, and that You please forgive me for all of the sins and atrocities that I have personally committed against You under the blood that Your one and only Son Jesus Christ has personally shed for me on the cross.
1. Father, in the name of Jesus, I now want to formally confess out all of the bad, evil, and sinful things I have personally done against You. Father, I now confess to you the following things as being sins and extreme abominations in Your sight:
- My involvement in drugs.
- My involvement unnatural and unholy sex acts.
- My use of all kinds of pornography.
- My past adulterous affairs and activities.
- All of my past thefts and covetousness.
- All of my envy and jealousy that I have ever shown against anyone, and all of my lying and deceit that I have ever been involved in.
- All of the pride, impatience, hate and rage that I have ever shown or manifested over the years.
- All of my involvement in some of the occult arts such as witchcraft, invocation of demon spirits, and tarot cards.
- All of the times that I have personally cursed You and prayed to other false gods.
- Breaking most of Your 10 commandments to one degree or another.
Father, I now know, without any shadow of a doubt, that all of the above activities were evil, heinous sins and abominations in your sight. I am so sorry for going this far against You.
Father, I know that Your Son Jesus Christ has died for all of my sins. Father, in the name of Jesus, I now ask that You please forgive me for every single one of the these sins and transgressions that I have personally committed against You. Let the Blood of Your Most Holy Son Jesus Christ completely wash away every ounce of stench, every ounce of each one of these sins that have been committed against You.
Father, you tell me in Your Word, that if I am willing to confess my sins and agree to repent, that You will fully forgive me of my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Father, I now ask that You please forgive me for of all of my sins that I have personally committed against You through the blood that Your Son Jesus Christ has personally shed for me on the cross. I now believe that all of my sins have been completely forgiven and completely washed away by the Blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2. Father, I now want to agree to also renounce every single one of the above sins. You have my word that I will never, ever attempt to go back into any area having to do with the occult, any area having to do with sexual fornication, or any involvement in any kind of drug use whatsoever.
Father, in Jesus name, I now officially renounce every single one of the above sins and transgressions that have been committed against You.
3. Father, the next thing I need to take care of is when my father raped me when I was a young child. I now know that what he did was evil and wrong in Your sight. However, I will choose not to hold any unforgiveness towards him.
Father, I choose with my own free will to fully forgive him for what he did to me when I was a young child. My father and the judgment on his life will now fall into Your hands, not mine. I hold no hate or animosity towards him. I ask that you please have mercy on his soul when he has to face You for his own personal judgment. I now fully forgive him for what he has done to me.
4. Father, I now believe that all of my sins, transgressions, and abominations against You have been fully forgiven by You under the shed blood of Your Son Jesus Christ. Father, I thank You for having this kind of mercy on my soul and that You have made a way of forgiveness for me through the Blood of Your Son Jesus Christ.
Father, with all of my sins and transgressions against You now being fully forgiven – I now want to once and for all break the legal rights these demons have had over me over all of these years.
Father, in Jesus name, I now ask that You fully break the legal rights of these demons. I now ask that You completely break and completely sever every single one of their legal rights that has arisen as a result of my involvement in all of the above sin areas.
Father, in Jesus name, I now want to personally come against each one of these legal rights myself – operating under Your authority and Your anointing to be able to do so.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ – I now fully break and fully sever each one of these legal rights. Father, I repeat, in the name of Jesus Christ, I now command that every single inch and every single part of this legal right line be completely broken, completely severed, and completely demolished in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I now plead the Blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ against each and every single part of this legal right line and command it to be completely broken right now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
5. Father, I also want to reaffirm with you as I have done the other day, that I have now fully surrendered my body, my soul, my spirit, and my entire life into Your hands. I now ask that You place me into Your perfect will for my life.
I am now willing to fully follow You all the rest of the days of my life. I will now be guided by Your Holy Spirit from this moment on – and I will never, ever cross back over into the sin-filled life I used to live in.
Father, I now belong to You, and You alone. You, and You alone, are my Rock and my Salvation. I will look to no other. My life is now totally in Your hands. Father, from this moment on, I will fully follow You and fully serve You for the rest of my eternal life.
Thank You Father.
Thank You Jesus.
2. Battle Prayer to Cast Out the Demons
Sarah,
You have now broken all of the legal rights of the demons on the above prayer that I gave you. They are now ready to be cast out with the battle prayer I will now give you.
I would wait until everyone is out of the house and do this in private between you, God, and the demons.
1. The 1st part of the prayer will be you going to God the Father asking Him to anoint you with His power to cast these demons out and off you for good. You will also be asking God to take this battle up for you and to have His power come through the Holy Spirit to drive these demons off you.
2. The 2nd part of the prayer will be when you will then turn around and verbally engage with the demons to now leave you in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Say both parts of these prayers out loud so the demons can hear you loud and clear. Also, on the 2nd part of this prayer – hold out your right hand as you are telling the demons to now leave you. The right hand of God the Father is His hand of power and deliverance. As His born-again child, you now have the legal right to be able to do this.
I would say this prayer out loud 3x-4x over the next couple of days.
A) Father,
In the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I now boldly approach Your throne of grace and mercy. Father, I now come before You to once and for all to take these demons out of my life for good.
Father, I have already come before You confessing all of the bad and sinful things I have ever done to You throughout most of my life. I have also renounced my past activities and have told You that I will never, ever go back into those heavier sin areas again. Father, I have horribly wronged You with some of those past transgressions, and I am so sorry that I have ever gone against You and deliberately disobeyed You so many times.
But Father, now is the time to pick myself back up off the mat. Now is the time to make a brand new start with a brand new direction. I have already fully surrendered my body, my soul, my spirit, and my entire life into Your hands. I have now entered into Your perfect will for my life. I am now all Yours. I now belong to You and no one else – and I will now fully serve You and fully follow You for the rest of my eternal life.
Father, now is the time to clean up one last loose end. As a result of my past involvement in some of these horrible transgressions against You, I have drawn demons into my life. I know that I have given these demons full legal right to come into my life and attack me like they have been doing with everything that I have done against You.
Father, You have said in Your Word that “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out all of their troubles.” (Psalm 34:17)
You have said in Your Word that “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.” (Psalm 138:7)
Father, in Jesus name, I now ask that You send me into battle to cast these demons out of my life for good. You say in Your Word that You can “make me bold with strength in my soul” (Psalm 138:3) and that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)
Father, since I have now fully surrendered every part of my life into Your hands – I now want to take a hold of the verse that says to “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
Since I am now fully submitted to You, I am now ready to resist Satan and his demons who have been attacking and tormenting me over all of these years. Your Word tells me that Satan and his demons will now flee if I pick up my sword, which is Your Word, and directly engage with them.
Father, in the mighty name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I now ask that You stir Yourself up as a Man of War and go before me to take out this defeated foe. Your Word tells me that “The Lord is a man of war.” (Exodus 15:3)
Your Word tells me that “The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war … He shall prevail against His enemies.” (Isaiah 42:13)
Father, in Jesus name, I now ask that You stir up Your zeal like a mighty Man of War off the wording of this verse.
Father, I now ask that You go before me as a consuming fire. Your Word tells me that “The Lord your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; You shall drive them out and DESTROY THEM QUICKLY …” (Deuteronomy 9:3)
Father, Your Word tells me that You will go before me and “make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron.” (Isaiah 45:2)
Father, these demons have kept me prisoner long enough. I now ask that You go before me to make this crooked path totally straight again and that you break the bars that have been holding me captive over all of these years. I now ask that You completely cut and completely sever the cords of these wicked and evil spirits.
In Deuteronomy 33:27, it says that You “will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!”
Father, I now ask that you anoint me from head to foot with Your anointing, with Your power, and with Your authority to take these demons head on. You have already told us in Your word that “in my name they will cast out demons,” (Mark 16:15) and that You gave the early apostles the “power over unclean spirits” and that “they cast out many demons.” (Mark 6:7)
Father, not by my might, but by Your Holy Spirit I will engage with and defeat these demons once and for all!
Father, Your Word tells me that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Your Word tells me that I have been given “the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me” (Luke 10:19) and that “Through You we will push down our enemies, through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.” (Psalm 44:5)
Father, now is the time! Now is the time to drive this enemy out of my life once and for all!
Father, Your Word tells me that the Sword of the Holy Spirit is Your Word. Father, in Jesus name, let your Word be my Sword! Father, I repeat, let Your Word be my Sword!
B) (Say all of this prayer out loud and hold out your right hand when saying it)
“In the name of My Lord and Savior and my deliverer Jesus Christ – I am now speaking to every single demon that is on the outside of me and to every single demon who may be on the inside of me.
Demons, in the name of Jesus Christ, I now come against each and everyone of you. I know that you have all been in my life for many years. I also know why you have been allowed to enter into my life and attack me like you have been doing over all of these years.
I now know what all of your legal rights have been over all of these years that allowed you to attack me as you have been doing.
Demons, in the name of Jesus Christ – all of your legal rights have now been totally and completely broken before my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and my heavenly Father, God the Father.
I have now fully submitted and fully surrendered my entire body, my entire soul, my entire spirit, and my entire life into the hands of God the Father. I now belong to God the Father and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I now belong to Them, and to Them alone in this life.
You no longer own me. You no longer have any more legal rights to stay attached to me. All of your legal rights and demonic strongholds have now been completely broken and completely demolished under the shed Blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I have now fully confessed my sin of using drugs over the course of my entire life. I have now fully confessed my sins of fornication and having sex with multiple lovers and partners over the years. I have now fully confessed my sin of watching any kind of pornography. I have now fully confessed my sins of past thefts and covetousness.
I have now fully confessed my sins of breaking most of 10 of God’s commandments to one degree or another during the course of my life. I have now fully confessed my sins of delving into parts of the occult that I had no business treading into. I have now fully confessed all of my sins having to do with my jealousy, rage and anger.
All of my sins have now been fully confessed and fully renounced before God the Father. All of my sins have now been fully forgiven. My slate has now been made perfectly and completely clean. My sins and transgressions against the Lord are no longer remembered in His eyes. I am now a new creation in Jesus Christ.
I am now totally committed to serving Him, and Him alone in this life. Never again will I go back into the sin-filled life that gave you the legal right to be able to come into my life in the first place.
Demons, in the name of Jesus Christ:
I now plead the Blood of Jesus Christ over every inch of spirit.
I now plead the Blood of Jesus over every inch of my soul.
I now plead the Blood of Jesus over every inch of my body.
I now plead the blood of Jesus over every inch of this entire house.
Demons, the Word of God is now my Sword! I repeat, the Word of God is now my Sword!
I am now taking up my sword, which is the Word of my God, which is the word of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – and I am now coming against each and everyone of you – whether you be on the outside of me or whether you be on the inside of me.
Demons, all of your legal rights have now been completely and totally broken – completely and totally demolished – completely and totally severed. Father, I have full faith and belief that You have now driven all of these demons out of my body, out of my soul, out of my house, and out of my life for good by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Father, I now ask that You protect both me and my family from this moment on, and that You never allow these demons to come back on us ever again.
Father, to You be all of the glory. To You be all of the praise, glory and honor that is only due to You. Father, thank You for this deliverance. Father, thank You for this new life.
Father, I now ask that You take complete control of my life from this moment on and that You lead me into Your perfect will for my life. Father, guide me by Your Holy Spirit into the direction and path that You will want me to take in this life. My life is no longer my own. I now belong to You, and You alone.

Remarks
Note the following in the way this prayer was worded:
1. This battle prayer is divided into two main parts. The first part of the prayer is where you go one-on-one with God the Father to fully confess and fully renounce each one of the specific sins that you have committed against Him that have given the demons the legal right to be able to come directly against you.
Also note that I had this woman apologize to the Lord for this kind of extreme activity. Many of her sins were heavy and extreme, and I felt she also needed to apologize to the Lord, as she knew that what she was doing was wrong and sinful in His sight.
If you have engaged in some of these heavier types of sins against the Lord, it would be my recommendation that you also apologize to the Lord from your heart for committing these types of heavier sins and transgressions against Him in the first place.
2. Also note that her natural father had raped her when she was younger. As I stated in my article in “4 Levels of Spiritual Warfare Against Demonic Spirits” – if anyone has severely abused you, you will have to be willing to fully forgive that person in the eyes of God.
This could have been another possible entry point with these demons, so she had to close that door by telling God that she would be willing to fully forgive him for what he had done to her at such a young age.
3. When you get into the second part of the prayer where she is going to go toe-to-toe with these demons to drive them off her – first note that I had her go before God the Father to ask Him for His power and His anointing to be able to defeat and drive these demons off her.
She could have just skipped this part of the prayer and just started to command the demons to now leave her in the name of Jesus since all of their legal rights had been broken earlier in the first part of this prayer. However, what you have to realize was that this was a more serious type of case.
When someone has been beat up for so long from this kind of demonic attack, their faith and strength levels are not going to be operating at the same levels of what a normal Christian may be be operating at.
As a result, you first have to have them go before God the Father and ask Him for His power, authority, and anointing to be able to drive these demons off them. You also need to quote some good battle verses back to God the Father, asking Him to take this battle up for them, since they have been beat up from so many years of constant abuse and torment from these demons.
In the Spiritual Warfare section of our site, we have another article titled, “Battle Verses of the Bible.” In this article, I give you 100 of the very best battle verses from the Bible. You thus have a whole range of different types of battle verses to pick and choose from to put into your own personal battle prayer. The battle verses I picked for this particular case were the ones I thought were best suited for what I was dealing with.
4. Then notice as you get into the part where she starts to verbally engage with the demons. Instead of just starting out by commanding the demons to now leave her – I have her confront the demons and tell them that they have now been fully exposed, that all of her sins have been fully confessed and fully renounced before God the Father, and that all of their legal rights have now been fully broken and completely taken away from them.
Once the demons know and understand what has just happened between this woman and God the Father – they will know they have all been put on final notice that all of their legal rights are now gone. They will know that she now knows who she is in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and that they will now be no match for her – since God will now be anointing her with His power to be able to cast all of them out of her for good.
5. As she starts to come against them – also notice that I have her speak directly to any demons who may be living and operating on the inside of her, and any demons who may be attacking her from an outside position, which would be on the outside of her body.
When you come across someone who has crossed over into these kinds of heavier sins and transgressions – there is always a very good chance that some of the demons may have been allowed to literally enter in on the inside of that person’s body and soul.
As I have stated in my article on the “4 Levels of Spiritual Warfare Against Demonic Spirits” – Christians can draw demons into their bodies and souls if they cross over into some of these heavier types of sins. However, the demons will not be able to enter into that person’s human spirit since the Holy Spirit is already living there.
This woman had been saved for about 5 years before I met her, but the attacks from the demons never did stop.
The reason the attacks had never stopped was due to the fact she had never properly broken all of the demon’s legal rights and thus did not have the legal authority to be able to cast them out. Once she had fully confessed and fully renounced all of these heavier sins before God the Father – then the demons no longer had any more legal rights to be able to stay attached to her and they are now ready to be cast out.
Since I did not know what demons were operating on the inside of her or what demons were operating on the outside of her – I had her speak directly to both of them. This way she would be covering both of her bases.
6. Also note that right in the middle of the battle I had her plead the Blood of Jesus over her entire spirit, over her entire soul, and over her entire body. If any demons were trying to hold on to her during this battle – pleading the Blood of Jesus right in the middle of this kind of battle should break them loose since they are obviously no match for the power that is in Blood of Jesus Christ.
7. I then had her finish out the battle command by pleading the Blood of Jesus directly against all of the demons, and then telling them that they now have to leave her since there is now nothing left for any of them to be able to hold onto. This is the part where you now tell them to leave you in the name of Jesus Christ and that they are to never, ever come back on you again.
The prayer is then ended with her telling both God and Jesus that she now believes that God has given her total victory and deliverance from these demons, that she is now willing to fully follow God in the direction that He will now want to take her life in, and then thanking Him for the victory and giving Him all the praise, honor, and glory that is only due to Him for this kind of an extreme deliverance.
Conclusion
I know many Christians will read this kind of extreme testimony and really have a hard time believing that this kind of extreme activity really does occur in our walk with the Lord.
Many of these people who have been under heavy demonic attack for any period of time are very reluctant to tell anyone for fear of people thinking they are going nuts or that they are just imagining all of this. As a result of this kind of fear and paranoia, many of these people keep a lot of this kind of activity to themselves.
Many of the Churches still do not like to talk about this kind of heavier activity for fear of giving the devil his due, or for fear that people will start seeing demons around every possible corner. As a result, you have some in the flock who are literally getting their heads knocked off by these demons – and everyone around them is completely oblivious as to what is really going on.
I really feel that was why Jesus Himself listed the command to cast out demons in every single one of the verses that I listed at the beginning of my article on the 4 Levels of Spiritual Warfare Against Demonic Spirits. Every single time that Jesus told His apostles to go out and walk with His anointing to save the lost and heal the sick – He always told them to also cast out demons where and when needed.
This specific command is in every single one of those verses! If God the Father is making sure that His Son had this kind of command in every single one of those verses – then you know that God is really trying to tell all of us something with this kind of an intense statement.
Bottom line – demons are real, and they are still allowed to roam in the air on this earth seeking who they are going to try and devour next. As a result, some Christians will come under direct demonic attack from time to time from some of these demons.
As I have said before, the apostle Paul could not have said it any better when he said our real battle in this life is not with flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers – which are demons and demon powers who are still allowed to roam this earth and interact with some of us until Jesus returns back to us in His second coming and then casts Satan into the Bottomless Pit.
Until that glorious, final event actually occurs, this world will always have to put up with a certain amount of attacks from demonic spirits. As Christians, this leaves us with one of two alternatives.
We can either choose to hide our head in the sands, hoping that Satan and his demons will never personally attack either us or those who may be close to us.
Or we can choose to rise up – be vigilant, alert, and sober for any type of demonic activity that could set in on either us or our close friends and loved ones – and then be ready to go into immediate combat and take their heads off with the Word of God as our Sword like the Bible is telling all of us to do as good soldiers of Jesus Christ.
For what is worth, we will continue to add more articles on this subject so this kind of information is available to anyone who may actually need it.
We have received numerous emails from people all around the world who have had to engage with some demonic spirits who were attacking them for various reasons – and some of them have been able to receive complete and total deliverance from the demonic attack they were facing with some of the basic 101 information and knowledge that we have released in these kinds of articles.
God says in His Word that His people will perish and go into captivity for having lack of knowledge. If you look closely at these two verses where God is making these two statements – I also believe that the reverse is true – that having the appropriate knowledge from God can help set you free and deliver you from any type of captivity that you may have already fallen into.
And when demons launch an all-out, full scale attack on someone – that person will go into spiritual captivity until they can get themselves delivered from their evil grip by the power of God.
Once again, God the Father could not make things any more clear on these kinds of issues and topics with all of the revelation and knowledge that He has given to us in His Word. This knowledge and revelation is all there for the taking for the seekers who are willing to grab a hold of it, study it, and then seek to implement it into their daily walk with our Lord and Savior.
And to think that all of this revelation and knowledge is all contained in just one glorious Holy Book – unbelievable!

I’m going to pray and ask Almighty Father, to pour in my spirit the anointing to deliver this message in my local church. This the Holy Spirit gave me a glimpes, of this tonight when I received an texts about the attack on my pastor. I’m not at liberty to go in great detail, however, this is total confirmation what the Holy Spirit, showed me tonight, why leaders have these attacks great in their lives. I have been under demonic attack and now know that it IS real. I was not raised in the church and until two weeks ago did not have god in my life, i question everything and never could fathom blind faith. I am 33 years old and have experienced all sorts of paranormal activity at my home climaxing with sleep paralysis (while awake) seeing, hearing and feeling things that i will not go into too much detail about (very scary). In my terror I have asked god to come back into my life and have many friends and relatives praying for me throughout this ordeal. A few nights ago I finally decided to no longer be scared as i now have jesus christ in my life and have begun to ignore these occurences. The last two nights nothing has happened but i printed out the deliverance prayer above and read it aloud, with a friend/co worker near me praying beside me and I began to cry as i read this prayer (this is totally out of the norm for me!). WIthout these experiences i doubt i would have ever turned to god, so in a way i am thankful, since that time I have felt better about every aspect of my life (the last two weeks have been the most difficult time of my life, since giving myself over to god I have had a string of bad things happen but realize this is not from god but is the devil attempting to give me doubts). There are people who did some heavy sinning….then quit it when they started going to church & Bible study, calling themselves “Christians,” assuming they were ”Saved” (a common assumption among church-goers). Those who did repent and take Jesus as their Savior and experienced “spiritual rebirth” by the Holy Spirit (a Supernatural Experience, not just a belief)…..many of these folks believe that, since they did not sin against their Savior (since sins were committed pre-church or pre-salvation), that demons can’t have “legal rites” to them.
This article seems to be talking to people who have sinned AFTER becoming Christians. What about all the people who sinned and then “got Saved” and stopped sinning? Salvation did not chase all the evil spirits out of them. They still need deliverance from the devils that got IN BEFORE their Salvation!

Unfortunately, folks asking pastors for deliverance help are hily likely to come up against a brick wall, even in the Catholic church, which used to do exorcisms, but not any more. It’s a taboo subject in most churches, arousing fear and invalidation of the possibility of Christians having any demons or evil spirits in them. I asked 3 Catholic priests (I’m not Catholic) and several Protestant pastors here for someone experienced to assist me in deliverance for someone else.. Got nothing.Churches have music directors and worship music team leaders on staff, but NOT evangelists or qualified deliverance ministers. There should be a “Deliverance Ministry Registry” ONLINE!

I can’t repeat this enuf ~ I believe the VERY FIRST THING to do (before “Full Surrender” is to MAKE SURE you are Saved. It’s not a bad thing to dout your Salvation and REVIEW your Repentance. The tuff-love, ego-shattering “nuts & bolts” teaching of that requirement of Salvation called “Repentance ” (a complete change in your perception of yourself, letting go of pride and self-esteem)….has been replaced in MANY churches in the U.S. with a lot of “ego-tickling”, Superficial “fluff.” (I attended all 50 churches in my area several times each to “review” them for my evangelism ministry….and found a prevalent spirit of “religious pride” being promoted in MOST of them, with pastors telling entire congregations that, not only were they all going to Heaven because they go to church, but that everyone there was a disciple! (Bull!)
“ Lose your Salvation”? Most church-goers don’t even have it yet! A poll by George Barna in the ‘80s found that 75% of regular church attendees who believed they were going to Heaven….got the answer WRONG to the questionairre “Why?” It’s 30 years later ….and churches have rock bands and power-point presentations. Since churches have become far more entertaining, that % is probably UP to 90% by now! I hear these people talk out on the streets. “Saved”? Gimme a break! Satan’s had 1,665 years since Emporer Constantine declared it legal for Christians to meet…and built the first churches for them. And Satan’s primary target has been to bring DECEPTIONS into this religion!
I found that the “12 Steps” of Alcoholics Anonymous (a SECULAR organization) is a stronger program for repentance than any brief reference to repentance most churches offer. And here’s the “rub” ~ AA tells their “members” to keep working the 12 Steps ~ …..or they’ll get too sure of themselves and “relapse” back into drinking and lose their sobriety.
Christians should be WARNED ~ “STAY in humble, honest repentant awarenessof yourself, ALWAYS!…or you’ll “backslide” into self-deception and sin….and lose your Salvation! When Jesus said, `Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish!’ ~ that word `repent’ in the Greek is CONTINUAL PRESENT TENSE, meaning “If you are not in repentance-awareness of yourself ALWAYS, you will PERISH!” Can you imagine the DAMAGE that can happen to people who call themselves “Christians”….if they were DECEIVED about their Repentance and sought deliverance while UN-repentant? They’d end up WORSE OFF than before! It’s fairly easy to know if you believe in who Jesus is and have taken Him as your Savior. But Repentance is where Satan’s workers, the deceiving spirits IN people, do their most important and spiritually FATAL work!
“Good self-esteem” is NOT a sign of “Salvation.”

About breaking the “legal rites” of evil spirits to stay on or in you ~
I started my ongoing self-deliverance process (the slow method) from instruction on a different website. I didn’t remember “breaking legal rites” being in any of my preparatory steps, so I checked my print-outs. It was there, only that deliverance minister used “breaking curses” more frequently, which took away their “legal rites.” Demons and evil spirits having “LEGAL RITES” to my body & soul??? If THAT’S not a “CURSE”, I don’t know what is !
I think it’s extremely wise and helpful that this article is teaching to ask God for His Power and anointing FIRST to drive the demons away…before commanding them to leave. I did not need to use this in my self-deliverance because I was very strong in Christ. But I need to know about this to help others whoses faith and spiritual strenth may be weak. And listing all the sins one can think of and apologizing to God for them (part of Repentance) is essential. (And God would like to be shown that you apologized to those whom you HURT with your loveless words and actions).
I like the part about pleading the Blood of Jesus rite in the middle of the battle…and pleading the Blood of Jesus against the demons. ~ other new ideas I will incorporate into my helping others get delivered.
At 1st read, I thot this Battle Prayer was a bit wordy…. probly cuz my own prayers had been briefer. But on 2nd read, I realized that this is just what many folks need…to EVOKE them mentally and emotionally to “really get into it!” Very thoro and Biblically encouraging! I found your way to break demon’s legal rights and contracts amazing and how you fight demons to be really good. Although, I think you need to quote Bible verses, Pslams, Proverbs, or Jesus Christ himself sometimes for harder demons and The Evil One, himself.

Thank you. I knew that the attacks against me were from the spiritaul realm. I always knew this. Most ppl. who don’t understand what the Apostle Paul said in reference to the the fact we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood. I asked God for forgiveness against the sins I have commited against him. I use to be an avid follower of astrology. I searched for answers to my life thru that means. I dabbled in the occult by reading tarot cards, searching tryin to figure out my life. I asked the Lord to please forgive me for not trusting in him enough. I did not really grasp hold of the doorway to a hell my life embraced for seeking such things. My life has been a series of lost. I could not understand until God showed me in his word how this is an abomination against him. I now know how satan uses these things to get my focus off the Lord. I renouce satan and his works. I promised God I will never look at another horoscope/astrology reading ever again.. Never will I allow that in my life again or should I say be led into that realm. I prayed this prayer you posted to rid the demons once and for all OUT OF MY LIFE!!!!!! I thanked God for his deliverance and having mercy on me to forgive my foolish, sinful self. I was convinced God was mad at me, didn’t care about me, I should be mature enough to know that satan knows I belong to God,no longer am I apart of this wicked system of this world but Im in line to join the kingdom of Jesus Christ, so he will work harder for my soul…. I am are 99% sure my spouse has suffered through SRA and the Lord has not brought into their full contiousness the traumatic abuse memories (mostly repressed) and the people who were the abusers. As God has not yet brought that healing and I am waiting on His timing, how can I protect my family and I at night from the demontic attacks we have suffered through on and off for years. I am up right now because of one, reading your prayers out loud. Will God protect us until my spouse can take back full ground?
Mind blown. I have been fasting and praying for a couple of days now because I have felt as though “something” wasn’t quite right. For two years now, I have been standing for my marriage, and have prayed us through some painful times…however, just recently, I have felt particularly attacked, tempted and anxious. No matter how much I prayed, I couldn’t shake it. I began to plead the Blood of Jesus over EVERY area of our lives, and felt some mild relief, but it was temporary. Nearly every scripture I was led to made references to casting out demons, and it resonated with me…although, I had NO IDEA what to make of it. So, I specifically prayed for God to please reveal to me what I could not see — what I needed to fight against, what was hindering…trusting and believing He would lead me to the information I needed to persevere….and here I am. I am so grateful to the Lord as I have asked him for divine Revelation & not only did he visit me personally in my dream speaking & reading of a scroll he helped me find this article as I am being attacked on a daily basis by my spouse.
It used to be physical abuse but now it is verbal abuse every other day & I know that righteousness will prevail over darkness.

Well,the last couple of months I was feeling something was going wrong.Doubts about God and my faith in Him.At first I acted like nothing was happening.But then the trouble got bigger.Those doubts rose and the devil kept “telling” me this lie “you don’t believe with your heart,you’ll not be saved”.Demon attacks occurred in my dreams,but last week got worse.More dreams,anxiety and one night an evil force pressing my head from both sides.Last night I was feeling an evil presence and start praying.My body felt numb and there was a feeling like a force was swinging me.The bottom of my bed moved 2 or 3 times.I got so frightened and prayed.I couldn’t relax to sleep.I stood up and walked to the living room “watching” tv and staid there for about 1-2 hours.Then I went back to sleep,prayed again and finally slept.Today I found this post.I prayed like the above.I feel better now.I will keep on praying.It’s not even been a year in faith for me and this is very hard.

I want to personally thank God for revealing this in His word to you. I have been involved in fornication at intervals through out my christian walk and I was told a few weeks ago by a christian friend that I was now going through some form of initiation and my life was in a mess. When I had told them that there were nights when I would go to bed and wake suddenly because I could feel someone or something trying to have sex with me.
I was so upset because I knew I had struggled in this area of my life for years and I really wanted to follow God with all my heart so I broke off a relationship that I was involved for 15 months because I wanted to clean up my life. I told God I was sorry and asked Him to forgive me and I felt at ease for sometime but the in my sleep a demon tried again to have sex with me. The first time it was being very violent I screamed out asking Jesus to help me and the demon fled. The second night it was not the same demon because I had bound the demon by name the nigh before,this time it was a little black creature that picked me up and was trying to run away with me I began slapping him and saying the blood of Jesus is against you and it dropped me and fled then I woke up.
I have been asking the angels to protect me at night and welcoming the Holy Spirit into my home as I recited scriptures to help me sleep. I now sleep with a side light on with worship music on my phone playing. I even sprinkled salt on my bed and in my room because I became so anxious prior going to sleep. I have had no more demonic visitations but I believe an angel was sat on the edge of my bed one night because as I awoke I saw a figure stand up from a seated position on the side of my bed. I could only see the back of this man’s garment before he disappeared. I was so at peace and was not gripped by fear when I saw him leaving.
I have followed the steps and prayed the prayer and I am expecting my life to be totally transformed now because of the Holy Spirit leading me to this website. He spoke to me and clearly asked me to go on 3 days of fasting and prayer because He wanted to break somethings off my life and give me break through. Hallowed be thy name.

I don’t know how to thank you. For years I worked to council others in the wrong way. I felt if I was helping others through spiritual readings that my heavenly Father would approve not knowing of his holy word on this subject. Later I joined a church to become closer to God not realizing their God was not my God. I was born again at the age of eight so God has always been very important to me. When my eyes began to open about the church and I started backing away to leave is when my problems started manifesting. I had joined a cult and they just don’t let go. This morning at 2am I woke feeling something heavy on my body and couldn’t breath. The demons were back. To make a long story short I prayed the hedge be placed around my home, read the 91Psalm and played music to ward them off not realizing there was a hole in the hedge. I know God led me to you. I will continue to work on these steps. My house is quiet now and feels peaceful. I can sleep in peace. Praise God.

All of this is real and Biblical, however we are continually told to control our thoughts. Paul also states that we are to strap every thought into obedience with the Word of God. I have fought a physical, mental and verbal battle since I quit smoking a year and a half ago and the battlefield of the mind includes our thoughts. It has been physical air and verbal attacks based on my thoughts even though they have been strapped into obedience. Paul also says praying in the Spirit at all times because they hear our thoughts and prayers. Many of our strongholds start in our minds and opens the doorway to the demonic. Don’t go to bed angry and give the devil a stronghold is usually your thoughts rather than words or actions. Your website has helped me so much and God tells us to remember that our brothers and sisters are going through the same thing that we are and just knowing someone understands helps so much because words just can’t explain it. Please join me in warring against the enemy. My husband had an affair, and is now home. I’ve gone through deliverance and he is starting his, but the enemy is fighting and throwing everything at us. I’m fasting, praying in my prayer language, worshiping… and so is our counselor, but the attack is growing stronger. NOTHING is stronger than my God, but just as Moses needed help holding his arms up during the war, I desperately need help in prayer. This other has threatened to kill anyone my husband leaves her for, she is using word curses to harm our family, and my finances have dried up. My husband says he can’t stand to be around me now… he had wanted to come home and work on us, but now it is changing. He cries out to the Lord, but cannot get any relief. I need help, please. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m preparing for a fast and searching the internet for certain prayers and “deliverance” is on the top of my list. I am a born again Christian, been saved since I was in the 8th grade, however, I didn’t start living and practicing to live as a Christian until 1994-95 and for the last year I felt disconnected from God because I stop praying, praising and worshiping God, not completely but not like I use to because I became frustated because I didn’t see any manifestations of what He promise me. I stumbled across this page as I was seeking for answers on deliverance.. every area of my life is being affected, and it was one day revealed to me that I need deliverance.
There are so many problems at the workplace and at home, which has been physically, emotionally and mentally draining. On the otherhand, I know our Father is always by my side and I have no doubt He is always here to listen to me each and every time I talk or pray to Him. And no matter what is happening, I still choose to stand strong as I battle and tackle these evil spirits that are trying to make me give up and make me feel defeated. But no. That’s not going to happen because I told God I am not turning back to my old ways. It took me over 20++ years to realize I needed deliverance and had to change my ways and surrender my life to God.
I had an elder of a church do deliverance on me but he wasn’t able to complete it. But with God’s help He has led me to another pastor who has experience with deliverance and he may need to do many sessions to break the bondages and strongholds. I have found out smtms deliverance can be a long and timely process. Everyone wishes to be restored overnight just like i did but for some it can be done overnight. But in my case, I have come to accept that it will take some time… I also know I have to be patient and it is through God I have hope n joy, and excitement in my heart that one day, I will be completely set free. God has been so so good to me despite the fact that I am a sinner. How loving, kind, and merciful our Father is to anyone who seeks Him.
Even if life doesn’t seem to be going right atm, it is through His grace and mercy that I can continue carrying a positive attitude, gratitude, love and care for others, and the strength to continue on no matter what obstacles come my way.

I cannot say thank you for being available to me in such a time as this. My life is under attack, my family is being ripped apart by Satan and his demons and I was searching for the right prayers . I just wanted to clarify something. What about a Christian who has been born again AND baptized but then chooses to engage in those “deep” sins you listed? Is the hedge of protection broken???
The demon came back and tormented the man again. You cannot remove something without putting something in its place.The key principle of deliverance and it does not escape common sense: take the bad thing out, put a good thing in. After a demon is cast out, that the same demon will then periodically return to see if the person has slipped up in any way in order to give him the legal right to be able to enter back into him again.Demons cannot enter into a person’s body just because they want to. There are spiritual laws that are in operation in the spirit realm and demons have to abide by these laws set up by God.
“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. The Bible does not make a distinction between mortal (deep) and venial sins. That is Catholic theology.
If you break one commandment, you break them all and are separated from God. Commandments convict (convince) you of your need for a savior.
Jesus saves you from all – past, present, future. They were ALL in the future when he did it 2,000 years ago.

I was being visited by spirits at night. They would pull the covers down on my bed and talk to me. They asked me if they could enter into me. They would give me joy and beauty; I said I wanted joy and control. They said they would give me joy and control; then asked could they enter into me. I said yes; they entered into me. I tried to cast them out. I would bind and adjure them, tell they didn’t have authority to be there, demand they leave; they never left. I told Elders, Ministers, teachers and Priest about the problem and they prayed for me. It was given to me that I had entered into a covenant with them, I said ‘I break the covenant in Jesus name’. They left. I seen them leave. I had many visions of a white room with a white column in it; there were 8 or so people, dressed in white, walking around in the room. Sometimes they would look into my eyes, sometimes they would walk into me. After I broke the convent, I had a vision of the white room with the white column and I seen them leaving; I had another vision of the white room, in it the last three left.
I kno I was lead here by Holy Spirit. I had just come out of worship and heard the word extreme. I googled how to pray prayers against being extreme. Holy Spirit led me here. I hv been under Attack all my life, it started as a child with terrible stomach pains and unexplained yeast infections. Years later my memory got worse, had an abortion, committed all or most of those sins, and recently felt like I was loosing my mind. I feel so free now after this prayer. No, you are not doomed for not remembering all of your sins. But, I agree with Leidy M. –ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your remembrance anything you need to confess and repent over. He will surely do that. He is so good. “Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh unto you” and “God draws near a contrite and humble heart”. Spend time with Him. He may wish to heal you during this process, also. So, don’t be anxious or worried. He is a good God and Father. He knows your heart. Just listen for His love, His Holy Spirit and His quiet leading. He is the Lifter of your head and the Lover of your Soul.
He wants to help you so much. In His Name, The meek and mighty Shepard, Jesus, who leads you beside the quiet waters, makes you to lie down in green pastures and RESTORES your soul. I left a comment earlier. I am a Roman Catholic. I am not a born again catholic. I am baptized. Will that be a problem? I read somewhere that you had to be saved and born again. I did the surrender prayer already outlined by you. I have read the 4 articles of spiritual warfare. I am preparing to take the next steps.
I’m Roman Catholic too. Don’t worry about being born again. There’s no distinction except of denomination. You are saved and you were saved when Jesus died on the cross for you and your sins. Anyone who tells you otherwise does not have a full understanding of the faith or what Catholicism truly is about. There is so much misunderstanding. I would highly recommend in addition to this prayer, seek out confession, do some heavy research on the Eucharist, spend some time in adoration, and receive communion in the fullness. Hello I’m just curious about something,my understanding is the Roman catholic faith is not correct,Roman Catholics believe the Pope can speak for god the only man that could ever truly speak for god was jesus christ because he wasn’t just a man he was god god the son part of the trinity god the son father and holy spirit.now I know Catholics can obviously still be true born again believers as they do read gods word I’m just pointing out some of there beliefs are wrong.any true born again christian can cast out or make an evil spirit or demon leave but if you don’t believe that jesus was god that he lived a perfect sinless life died on the cross for your sins then rose again on the third day defeating death hell and the grave it wont work
Roman Catholics do *not* believe that the Pope can speak *for* God. Catholics believe the Pope is infallible because Jesus gave the role of Pope the authority to make decisions for the Church when He first appointed Peter as head of the Church.
In Matthew 16:18, Jesus says to Peter, ‘And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.’
Jesus gives Peter a unique mission to preserve the purity and sanctity of the Holy Church. Since Jesus intended the Church to endure through the ages, Peter could not be the only head. Succession was necessary in order for the Church to prevail until Jesus comes again.
This means that our current pope was ordained by a bishop who was ordained by a bishop who was ordained by a bishop who was ordained by a bishop (you get the idea) who was ordained by St. Peter. Peter, along with succeeding popes and bishops were and are given the authority to govern the Church, and provide teachings regarding faith and morals.
The word ‘infallible’ does not mean that the pope is perfect. It also does not mean that the pope knows everything. Instead, infallibility only applies when the Pope speaks about solemn, official teachings on faith and morals, and he can’t ever change, add, or subtract Christian doctrine.
He only helps define or explain what we already believe, and he doesn’t do it on his own.

In reference to “upon this rock, I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it” – A dear lady once pointed this out to me, when I began attending non-denominational church in my mid-thirties, having been raised Catholic. I asked her, as a new Christian, interested in the Bible and relationship with Christ –hey, if Peter was the head of the church, why did he have so (comparitively) little to say in the Bible? That seemed a logical question. To my complete and never-again-questioned dismay, she said “go back and read the Word. The TRUTH that Peter answered just before this verse was “Who do you say I am, Peter?” And, Peter said “You are the Son of God.” THIS was the Rock (Jesus) upon which God built His Church (and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. – the TRUTH is what the gates of hell cannot prevail against. The TRUTH is JESUS. The Son of GOD…not Peter (or the very human papacy). I have never forgotten that very incredible insight she gave me over thirty years ago. I know it is true. Praise Jesus. Thank you so very much for this very detailed, and precise information. There is no question that I have been oppressed, tormented and tortured by these evil monsters. I just took them head on, using the outlined steps, and perfectly worded script to go toe to toe with them, allowing my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to lead me into battle in full Faith on my part. I have a question. I feel I cannot carry this out without an answer. I have a huge desire for control. I did the surrender. However, I came here after googling generational curses and how to break them. You see, there are generations of critical, angry, verbally and physically abused and abusive people on both sides of my family. Anger-and lashing out in that anger (which often comes from a sense of being out of control)-are my “signature sins.” I understand that God CAN take that from me, that those demons that haunt me WILL be gone…but I know the steps to sin. Desire, temptation, opportunity… I have 5 kids. The temptation and opportunity are always there. And I know my desire is control. I’ve given that over to God. I’ll have to lay that down and walk away 100x a day for a while, I’m sure. So if I falter, and I sin in my anger by yelling and throwing a fit, am I letting that demon back, along with all his friends? How do I keep that from happening? Simply arresting that moment by repentance and asking for forgiveness again? Please respond.

Actually – it may take continued prayer and reading of the Word, until the Holy Spirit is able to strengthen you in your resolve to not yell or rant and rave…and you will get victory over it. I believe you will. Yes, I would ask forgiveness of the Lord each time. It can be just a short prayer. He knows the intention of your heart. And that you are a busy mother, and all you are trying to overcome. I would also ask forgiveness of anyone I hurt by it –the yelling. You don’t want your kids to feel insecure or diminished by yelling, for sure. You want a wonderful home life, with love, for them to remember and pass onto their own kids. So, I’d repent and apologize to them and ask forgiveness. I had a similar experience, as a new Christian and a young mother. At that time, a wise old friend of mine used to say to me – when I felt so terrible –“He knew every sin you were going to commit before you did it and he knows the frame you are made of …(and loves you anyway.) He knows our sin nature. That we are “but dust.” So, don’t also come under too much anxiety or condemnation, once you’ve done your confession, because that can be a way of the devil to keep you in fear, guilt or discouragement, which can happen if you are not seeing progress right away – and that’s just another devilish trap. Just rely on Jesus.
I often think of our souls as a spiritual garden. We have to keep hoeing, weeding (or pruning) to keep the weeds out and really thrive. This is a great deliverance prayer in this column, but sometimes, afterwards, if a weed comes up –pull it! Confess it! And be vigilant, but don’t live in fear. Then you won’t need the heavy “pruning” – you will be more peaceful, content and intact, because of your diligence and yieldedness to the Lord. You will develop the fruit of the Holy Spirit (from Galations), one of which is self-control (the opposite of railing/yelling/or distemper.) Another is patience. Another is gentleness.
Repeat the Word and be patient with yourself. I used to practice, and still do say out loud, throughout my day, short scriptures which are the antithesis of what I was dealing with, or trying to root out. (The Word of God is a two-edged sword…and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty for the pulling down of strongholds.) Don’t forget to study and use the Word. Like, for instance, “patience is a virtue”, when I felt like yelling. Or, “the power of life and death is in the tongue”. Or, simply, “I choose life” or the shortest prayer of all: “Help me, Jesus!” Or “Godliness with contentment is great gain.”, etc. (for, if I was yipping, yelling and hollering, surely I was discontent about something, and everybody knew it…including myself, much to my disgrace.) Eventually, and with practice, I healed. Look up and memorize any scripture that applies to the tongue and to wisdom. I’d tell myself “Let your words be edifying that they give grace to the hearer.” (Ephesians) For awhile, when my son was in grade and middle school, our family used to play a game around the house and catch each other. If someone said something maybe not so great, we would look at the other person and say, “Now, was that edifying???” And, it got the point across and we would all start laughing. We brought out the best in each other. (Also, confess the sin of back-biting – nitpicking, basically….the Word says if we back-bite, beware lest we devour one another. Ugh!! We don’t want to destroy or devour one another! We want a happy, blessed home! Truly, it is the Holy Spirit that brings forth the fruit, when we yield and apply the Word.
It sounds like you are way yielding and just remember we are encouraged, also, to “crucify the flesh” –kind of like your saying “laying it down” – that means putting on the “new man” (Christ Jesus) and “putting off the Old Man” – our “flesh” sin reaction (anger/lashing out/control issues, which = basically hurt and fear/anxiety from abusive patterns and sin doors opened) and recall the scripture (God’s way) to your mind. As you get stronger and more victory in this area, the devil will just not even bother you anymore about this. He may find another area. But, you will have defeated Him, in this area, with the Word and with vigilent prayer, following your deliverance.
Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world. He has overcome the world.
Also put on your (Christ’s) armour everyday, from Ephesians, to protect you and your family. Pray for peace over your environment; play or sing praise. You can ask the Lord to reveal to you what exactly you need to pray over and to put a guard over the door of your mouth. Study about “guarding your heart” – (setting aside)..(kind of like your question of laying it down) –“all anger, all malice, all clamor, all bitterness, all unforgiveness” …..all bitterness…(once I heard a pastor say these are all cousins.)
But, seriously, ask God to guard your heart and put the “law of kindness” on your tongue. (another memory verse: “Harsh words stir up strife, but gentle words turn away wrath.” This can help defeat a railing spirit.
It seems you are truly seeking solution and you don’t want to hurt your kids or pass on this behavior and pain to your children. You want better for them. It is possible…all things are possible in Christ. The Holy Spirit is already giving you insight and wisdom to change this…so you have His promise you will not be defeated.
I went through similar things (and history) when I was a young girl. So, I know God is so faithful and He is like no other God to heal and restore us.
Sometimes I would go on, as a new Christian, and just feel so terrible about it, afterward, with the yelling, at home. Normally I could handle things, but if I got too tired…not. A friend of mine (in Christ) called it a “railing” spirit. (yelling – out of control). I’m not sure if it comes from pride, abuse, or what sin history exactly, and like you, I looked for answers. I did pray and experienced deliverance. Then the people who so loved me, at a church I attended, helped me by praying over me and teaching me to read the Word and play praise music in the house, if I felt I was being attacked, especially. I recently discovered some wonderful on-line scripture songs by Esther Mui that play long and are very blessed. They put a peaceful spirit – God’s word to music- in the house. But, yes, if it happens again, ask forgiveness. Ask the Lord to give you a gentle spirit. You may find you are gaining more victory each time. (And, forgive yourself, too.)
Lastly, (kind of long answer, but I feel your frustration and have “been there”) – I always think of deliverance kind of like pulling weeds in a garden. If we stay at it, and guard our hearts and pray for His help, God will have a good garden. That’s what he wants for us…for his glory. To be fruitful. And blessed. I think this is what you are seeking, for yourself, and your children. Never underestimate the reading of the WORD. And, put scripture out there into the air throughout your day, and literally knead PRAISE into your home environment. May God be with you and bless you so greatly; you are a beautiful mother and He knows all you have come through, already! He will help you each day.

I have discovered that God’s love formula in the Bible is “Submit yourselves one to the other”.
After my first wife died, I learned that lesson. Holy Spirit then put me with my new wife who also knew that lesson. Jesus, the creator of the universe, submitted himself to us (even to death on a cross) out of LOVE. Once we learn how to submit to him, he blesses us with being able to submit to a spouse. Spectacular!
We are extremely blessed as a result. Wish I had known it the first time around.
Thank you for this wonderful testimony and example. I do have a question. Should we be with someone while we are doing self deliverance? No one I really know would be able to help me through this on my own.
And what’s would block someone form not receiving deliverance through this prayer ? Unbelief?

However I like to join my faith with someone who follows these principles because the Word says “Whenever two or more are gathered in My name, there I am.”
I have been studying and using these principles for years and first saw demons driven out of my father who had Alzheimer’s.
You are right, there is no substitute for standing on God’s Word that is within us (more Word equals more tools). It cannot just be in your head, it needs to be in your core (some call that your heart).
It MUST be spoken out of your mouth. I don’t know why, but that’s the way it works.
In the first page of Ephesians, Paul prays:
1.We would have the wisdom and Revelation to know the Father, and
2. Understand we have the same power in us that raised Jesus from the dead.
That is the same Holy Spirit Jesus sent to empower us. Pray for him to manifest in you. Make His day!
Never let a yammering demon convince you that you don’t have the power to let Holy Spirit out. Get your mind and body out of the way, let Holy Spirit splash all over you and everyone around you.
Like muscles, the more you exercise this power, the more strength you will see, and God will know he can use you!
Hi. I dabbled in the occult through an awful, Satanic book known as the Lesser Key of Solomon(I cast a love spell/curse, signed my name, then burned my signature and the sigil). As a result, I find that I now have a demon attached to me. It whispers horrible things in my ear, and sometimes I have visions of them feeding off of me. It’s hell on earth for me. I’ve tried to get in contact with God and Jesus and angels but since I let the demon in by transgressing against God, it has legal right.
I fight every single day, tooth and nail, endlessly. They want to pervert me so desperately. They want to turn a former servant of God into a pawn of satan. I don’t want to be a pawn. I want to love, I want to do what’s right. I’m sick, spiritually. People are afraid of me when they see me walking down the street. I’m afraid that I’ve sold my soul. I’m so scared. I’m so scared. I’m losing feeling and my heart is growing cold. Please tell me there’s hope.
I was wondering if you got anywhere with your problem? I dabbled in the occult, and I’m currently doing what this forum says to do, but I sought a Babalow (a Nigerian Priest.) and he basically told me I was sick, and that something was blocking my blessings. I felt as if he was scamming me, but after I severed the connection, I progressively got worse, and I had physical symptoms I didn’t have before. I’m not sure our situations are similar, but I just wanna know if you got anywhere? I have been dealing with these attacks for about 2-3 months now, and I feel foggy in the mind as well as the pain. I just wanna know if you had any hope, as I gave him my name and don’t know what he did with that information.
I have been saved for several years and have been in a battle with strongholds that have rob me of several things in my life. I have prayed and continue to not been able to have answered prayer. It seem that when I pray for a breakthrough it happen to someone else. This stronghold is robbing me of my joy, my relationship with my husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, in-laws, church family, finances, etc., i am willing to have a strong prayer partner. God bless you real good for this article is still as relevant as you posted it some years ago. l have been battling with spiritual warfare that l could not explain, l have fasted severally as a christian, and did lots of deliverance but this problem keep coming back. Today l decided to fast again and l asked the Lord to give me the weapon that l could use to fight this battle, then l began doing research on impersonating demon, when some spirit will be imitating me to do all kinds of abominable things in the spiritual realm which l knew l was not the person. As a Christian it bothers me alot and l knew something might have responsible for this as causeless curse shall not come to rest. l knew l might have opened the door for these demons to operate freely, so l have been trying to deal with this issue, whenever l prayed so hard, or praise the Lord so hard, it will show up and begin to molest or give me food or spoil my testimony. But in my quest for freedom and l stumble on this article. Trust me, its God himself that led me to your website and l am extremely grateful for his mercy, and l am not taking his mercies for granted.
